Instructions
Back
Cast on 87 sts with red yarn and work with garter stitch for 4 rows. Then, work with the main pattern. 1st red stripe - 18 rows. Then, change to white yarn in the 3rd row of pattern repeat and make stripes of 16 rows. After making 5 stripes (40 cm), bind off 6 sts from both sides for arm-holes. Make sts, which aren’t included in the pattern, as knit sts in RS rows. At 20 cm height form the beginning of arm-holes, bind off the central 17 sts for neck-hole and finish each side separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 5 sts, 1 x 2 sts in every 2nd row from inwards. Knit the rest 22 sts of shoulder straight for 2 rows and transfer sts to the auxiliary needles. Make the second side in symmetry.
Front
Make in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole. For this, at 16 cm height of arm-hole, bind off the central 7 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 2 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row from inwards. Knit the rest 22 sts of shoulder straight for 2 rows and transfer sts to the auxiliary needles. Make the second side in symmetry. Sew open sts of back and front with “stitch in stitch” seam.
Sleeves
Cast on 70 sts with red yarn along arm-hole and work with stripes order. For sleeve chamfer, bind off 1 st from both sides in every 16th row. After making 8 stripes of garter stitch, make 8 rows of garter stitch with white yarn. Bind off sts. Make the second sleeve in symmetry.
Assembly
Make sleeve and side seams. Fasten neck-hole with 3 rows of single crochets with red yarn.
