You’ll need:

400 (450) 500g of mélange green Carerra Lana Grossa yarn (45% silk, 30% alpaca, 25% merino wool; 140m/50g);

Knitting needles 4,5 and 5,5;

Circular knitting needles 4,5.

Size: S (M) L.

Used Patterns

Rib, knitting needles 4,5: straight and reversed rows: the quantity of sts is multiple 4 + 2 + 2 selvage sts. RS rows: 1 selvage st, * 2 purls, 2 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, 2 purls, 1 selvage st; WS rows: as sts face. Circle rows: the quantity of sts is multiple 4. * 2 knit sts, 2 purls*.

Main pattern, knitting needles 5,5: the quantity of sts is multiple 9 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows as sts face. Repeat the pattern A between selvage sts. Make 1st-6th rows x once, then, repeat 3rd-6th rows.

Pattern for sleeves (of 47 sts), knitting needles 5,5: work in the same way, as the main pattern, but in the following way: 1 selvage st, 9 sts of pattern repeat A, 8 sts of pattern repeat A to arrow A, 11 sts of pattern repeat B, 8 sts of pattern repeat A from arrow B, 9 sts of pattern repeat A, 1 selvage st. For diagonal strips, increase 1 cross st due to the pattern of across thread of yarn after 1 selvage st in every WS row, both sts before the central 11 sts (= pattern repeat B due to the scheme) make together due to the pattern, make both first sts after the central 11 sts together due to the pattern and increase 1 cross st due to the pattern before 1 selvage st.

Stitches control: 17,5 sts x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 72 (80) 92 sts and make 8 cm of rib. Then, work with the main pattern, increase 11 (12) 9 sts in the 1st row = 83 (92) 101 sts. In 25,5 cm = 56 rows from rib, bind off 2 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 7 x 1 st in every 4th row = 65 (74) 83 sts. In 52 cm = 114 rows from rib, bind off the central 15 (20) 25 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 4 sts and 1 x 3 sts in every 2nd row from inwards. At the same time, bind off 6 sts from both sides in 52,5 cm = 116 rows from rib for shoulder chamfers and bind off 2 x 6 (7) 8 sts in every 2nd row. Finish your work in 54,5 cm = 120 rows from rib.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but for deeper neck-hole, bind off the central 7 (12) 17 sts in 44,5 cm = 98 rows from rib and bind off 3 x 2 sts and 5 x 1 st in every 2nd row.

Sleeves

Cast on 32 sts and make 2 cm of rib. Then, work with pattern for sleeves, increase 15 sts in the 1st row = 47 sts. At the same time from rib, increase 7 x 1 st in every 6th row from both sides for sleeve chamfers and 16 x 1 st in every 4th row = 93 sts, include the increased sts in the pattern. In 50 cm = 110 rows from rib, bind off 4 sts from both sides of rib for sleeve caps and 3 x 2 sts, 3 x 3 sts, 3 x 4 sts, 1 x 5 sts in every 2nd row. In 60 cm = 132 rows from rib, bind off the rest 21 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 92 sts along neck-hole with circular knitting needles and make placket with rib. At 2 cm height of placket, bind off all sts as they face. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
