The quantity of sts is multiple 8 + 6 + 2 selvage sts.

Start and finish every row with selvage st.

1^st row: purl;

2^nd row: knit;

3^rd row (RS): * 6 knit sts, slip 2 next sts with yarn in front*; repeat from * to *, 6 knit sts;

4^th row: * 6 purls, slip 2 next sts with yarn back*; repeat from * to *, 6 purls;

5^th row: as the 3^rd row;

6^th row: as the 4^th row;

7^th row: as the 3^rd row;

8^th row: purl;

9^th row: purl;

10^th row: knit;

11^th row: 2 knit sts, slip 2 next sts with yarn in front, * 6 knit sts, slip 2 next sts with yarn in front*; repeat from * to *, 2 knit sts;

12^th row: 2 purls, slip 2 next sts with yarn back, * 2 purls, slip 2 next sts with yarn back*; repeat from * to *, 2 purls;

13^th row: as the 11^th row;
