Nice Crochet Dress

You’ll need:

16 (17) 18 skeins of light-blue sectional coloring yarn (66% viscose, 34% cotton; 135m/50g);

Crochet hooks 3,5 and 4.

Size: S/M (M/L) L/XL.

Chest circumference width: 91 (100) 108 cm.

Lower edge width: 138 (146) 154 cm.

Length: 76 (78) 80 cm.

Used Patterns

Relief pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 4 + 2. Work due to the scheme.

Decrease: 2 single crochets together in the following way: insert crochet hook in the base of the 1st single crochet and draw the yarn, repeat these actions for the 2nd single crochet = 3 sts on the crochet hook, then, make 3 sts together, catching work yarn.

Stitches control: 20 sts x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Make 138 (146) 154 chain sts with crochet hook 4 and continue work due to the scheme.

Note: decrease 2 sts in 6 rows in every 2nd and 4th rows = 90 (98) 106 sts. When the length of the detail is about 55 cm, finish with the 6th row and form arm-holes in the following 6 rows:

1st row with decreases: turn, fasten the first 3 (5) 7 sts with slip st, 1 chain st, 1 single crochet in every st, finish before the last 3 (5) 7 sts = leave without fastening;

2nd row with decreases: turn, fasten the first 2 sts with slip st, 1 chain st, 1 single crochet in every st, finish before the last 2 sts = leave without fastening;

3rd row with decreases: as the 2nd row;

4th, 5th and 6th rows: turn, make slip st in the 1st st, 1 chain st, 1 single crochet in every st, finish before the last single crochet = leave without fastening.

There are 70 (74) 78 sts in work. Continue work with pattern, until the height of arm-hole is about 18 cm, finish with the 6th row.

Make decreases for rounding in the same way, as it was described for arm-holes = work from the 2nd row with decreases to the 6th row from both sides from the central 30 (34) 38 sts. When the height of arm-holes is 21 (22) 23 cm, finish your work.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole, start rounding after the 6th row (= 1 pattern repeat of 8 rows to the beginning of back neck-hole rounding) from both sides of central 22 (26) 30 sts = make 2nd row with decreases x 4 times.

Sleeves

Make 50 (54) 58 chain sts with crochet hook 4 and continue work due to the scheme. In 11 cm (= finish with the 6th row), form cap, making decreases, as it’s described for arm-holes, but decrease 3, 2, 1 st, then, decrease 2 sts when making the pattern of 6 rows of single crochets in the 2nd and 4th rows, until the height of sleeve cap is 17 (18) 19 cm, after that, finish your work.

Assembly

Make shoulder, side and sleeve seams. Sew up the sleeves.

Edges Fastening

Work with “shrimp stitch” along neck-hole, lower edge and edges of sleeves with crochet hook 3,5.

it's unbelievable that patterns exists on schemes. Being a senior and avid crocheter and all of sudden you like a pattern but you cannot follow scheme patterns. So that pattern cannot be touched to be made

Pardon my ignorance.  I just use YouTube tutorials mainly to crochet by or diagrams, and it's very hard for me to read patterns, but what do you mean it is hard to find schemes?  Are schemes written patterns or what?
