1st rnd: purl;

2nd rnd: knit;

Relief pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 34 + 1 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS row sts and yarn overs as purls, if 2 yarn overs, make the 1st yarn over as purl, the 2nd yarn over as knit st. Start with 1 selvage st, pattern repeat, finish with st after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1st-28th rows.

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls.

Stitches control: 22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 100 (134) sts and make 1,5 cm = 6 rows of relief placket, increase 5 sts in the last WS row = 105 (139) sts. Work with relief pattern. In 50,5 cm = 152 rows (57 cm = 172 rows) from placket, bind off 5 (7) sts from both sides of placket for shoulder chamfers and 1 x 5 sts and 2 x 4 sts (3 x 7 sts) in every 2nd row. In 53,5 cm = 160 rows (60 cm = 180 rows) from placket, bind off the rest 69 (83) sts, the central 61 (69) sts form neck-hole, the outer 4 (7) sts from each side refer to shoulders.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but bind off the central 21 (29) sts in 46 cm = 138 rows (52,5 cm = 158 rows) from placket and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bid off 1 x 5 sts, 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts and 6 x 1 st in every 2nd row from inwards. In 53,5 cm = 160 rows (60 cm = 180 rows) from placket, bind off the rest 4 (7) sts of shoulder from each side of placket.

Sleeves

Cast on 60 (76) sts and make relief placket in the same way, as for back, increase 11 (15) sts in the last WS row = 71 (91) sts. After that, work with relief pattern, for size L-XL, start with 1 selvage st and sts before arrow A, 1 pattern repeat, finish with sts before arrow B and 1 selvage st; replace grey sts in the beginning and end of row to knit sts. In 21,5 cm = 64 rows (16 cm = 48 rows) from placket, increase 1 st from both sides for sleeve chamfers and bind off 1 x 1 st in the next 10th row (5 x 1 st in every 6th row) = 75 (103) sts, make the increased sts for size S with stockinette stitch, for size L-XL include them in the pattern repeat. In 28 cm = 84 rows from placket, bind off all sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 116 (132) sts along neck-hole with circular knitting needles, make 1,5 cm = 6 rnds with relief placket and bind off all sts as knit sts. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
