​White Knit Cardigan

You’ll need:

300g of white yarn (47% cotton, 47% polyacryl, 6% polyamide; 165m/50g)l

Knitting needles 4,5.

Size: S.

Used Patterns

Wrong-side pattern: in RS rows – purls, in WS rows – knit sts;

Stockinette stitch: in RS rows – knit sts, in WS rows – purls;

Pattern for placket: 2 rows of wrong-side pattern and 2 rows of stockinette stitch = 4 rows.

Relief pattern: at first, the quantity of sts is multiple 16 + 4 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which both RS and WS rows are stated. Start with 1 selvage st, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1^st-16^th rows.

Pearled pattern: * 1 knit st, 1 purl*, replace the pattern in every row.

Stitches control: 18 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 86 sts and make 1,5 cm = 4 rows with pattern for placket, then, continue work with relief pattern. For neck-hole, in 54 cm = 140 rows from placket, divide your work in the center and finish each side separately. For neck-hole chamfer, make 3 sts of pearled pattern before/after selvage st along the inner edge. For shoulder chamfers, bind off 7 sts from both sides in 57 cm = 148 rows from placket and 4 x 9 sts in every 2^nd row. In 60 cm = 156 rows from placket, bind off all sts.

Left Front

Cast on 45 sts and divide sts in the following way: 1 selvage st, 38 sts of pattern for placket, 5 sts of pearled pattern, 1 selvage st. In 1,5 cm = 4 rows from the set-up row, continue work with relief pattern on sts of pattern for placket in the following way: make pattern repeat x twice, sts after pattern repeat x once, 1 yarn over, knit2tog. For shoulder chamfers, bind off 7 sts from outer edge in 57 cm = 148 rows for shoulder chamfers and 3 x 9 sts, 1 x 11 sts in every 2^nd row. Bind off all sts at the height of back.

Right Front

Make in reflection to the left front, make broaching after placket and 1 yarn over, then, work with relief pattern.

Sleeves

Cast on 54 sts and make 1,5 cm = 4 rows of the main for placket, then, continue work with relief pattern. At the same time, for chamfers, increase 7 x 1 st in every 14^th row from both sides of placket = 68 sts. Make the increased sts with pearled pattern. In 43 cm = 112 rows from placket, bind off all sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
