Used Patterns
Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;
Garter stitch: knit sts;
Wrong-side pattern: in RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts;
Diagonal pattern A (the quantity of sts is even). 1st row: 1 knit st, * knit2tog, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st;
2nd and 4th rows: sts and yarn overs as purls;
3rd row: * knit2tog, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to *.
Repeat 1st-4th rows.
Diagonal pattern B (the quantity of sts is even). 1st row: 1 knit st, * 1yarn over, knit2tog to the left*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st;
2nd and 4th rows: sts and yarn overs as purls;
3rd row: * 1yarn over, knit2tog to the left*; repeat from * to *.
Repeat 1st-4th rows.
Relief pattern (on 49 sts): work due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated. In WS rows make sts due to the pattern, yarn overs as purls. Repeat 1st-24th rows.
Patterns division (on 105 (113) 121 sts): 1 selvage st, 20 (24) 28 sts of diagonal pattern A, 7 sts of stockinette stitch, 49 sts of relief pattern, 7 sts of stockinette stitch, 20 (24) 28 sts of diagonal pattern B, 1 selvage st.
Patterns order: 72 rows due to the patterns division, 8 rows of stockinette stitch, 72 rows due to the patterns division, 10 rows of stockinette stitch = 162 rows.
Stitches control: 20 sts x 28,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
49 sts = 23 cm.
Instructions
Back
Cast on 105 (113) 121 sts and make 7 cm = 8 rows of stockinette stitch for placket, 2 rows of garter stitch and 10 rows of stockinette stitch. Continue work due to the patterns order. In 57 cm = 162 rows from placket, leave outer 27 (30) 33 sts of shoulder from both sides and for neck-hole, make 1 relief row on the central 51 (53) 55 sts in the following way: 1 selvage st, * knit2tog, yarn over*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st, 1 selvage st. Then, make 3 cm = 9 rows of stockinette stitch, after that, bind off all the sts.
Front
Main in the same way, as back.
Sleeves
Cast on 59 (63) 67 sts with criss-cross method for each sleeve, then, work in the following way: 1 selvage st, 28 (30) 32 sts of wrong-side pattern, 1 st of wrong-side pattern, 28 (30) 32 sts of diagonal pattern B, 1 selvage st. At the same time, increase 14 x 1 st in every 6th row from the set-up row from both sides for sleeve chamfers = 87 (91) 95 sts. In 42 cm = 120 rows from the beginning of row, bind off all the sts.
Assembly
Make shoulder seams with kitchener’s stitch. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams. Sew lower placket along garter stitch inwards.
