​Knit Crimson Pullover for Girl

You’ll need:

200g of crimson yarn (50% wool, 50% acryl; 260m/100g);

50g of burgundy yarn (15% wool, 15% polyacryl; 350m/50g);

Knitting needles 3 and 4.

Size: 5 years.

Stitches control: 20 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

19 sts x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 90 sts with knitting needles 4 and thinner yarn, make 1 row of purls along RS. Then, work with stockinette stitch. At 9 cm height, make all the sts as knit2tog. After that, change to knitting needles 3 and work with thicker yarn 1 WS row of knit sts. After that, make 23 cm of stockinette stitch. Then, bind off 7 sts from both sides for arm-hole and crochet straight for 11 cm. After that, bind off the central 14 sts for neck-hole and finish each side separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 5 x 1 st in every row from inwards. Bind off the rest sts of shoulder at 12 cm height of arm-hole. Finish another side of neck-hole in symmetry.

Front

Cast on 104 sts with knitting needles 4 and thinner yarn, make in the same way, as back to neck-hole, but make cable due to the scheme in the center. For neck-hole, bind off the central 4 sts at 9 cm height of arm-hole and then finish each side separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 st, 2 sts, 3 x 1 st in every row from inwards, 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row and 2 x 1 st in every 3^rd row. Make 4 rows without decreases and bind off the rest sts of shoulder. Finish another side of neck-hole in symmetry.

Sleeves

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 50 sts with knitting needles 3 after thick yarn and work with stockinette stitch, decrease 1 st in every 7^th row from both sides until the height of the detail is 25 cm. Then, make 2 rows of purls. Change to knitting needles 4 and work with stockinette stitch with thicker yarn. Increase1 st 1 stinevery 2 stsinthe 1^strow. At 17 cm height of fringe, make 1 WS row of knit sts and bind off the sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder and sleeve seams. For collar, cast on 97 sts along neck-hole with knitting needles 4 and thinner yarn, starting with the center of back and work with stockinette stitch for 9 cm. Then, make 1 RS row of purls and bind off the sts.
