​Crochet Yellow Vest and Hat

You’ll need:

70g of yellow Cotton Gold (55% cotton, 45% acryl; 330m/100g);

Odds of white, light-blue and green colors;

Crochet hook 3;

4 buttons.

Size: 18-24 months.

Stitches control: 20 sts x 10 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Vest

Front and Back

Make 112 chain sts and make 7 pattern repeats due to the scheme 1, alternate the colors of yarn in the following way:

1^st-4^th rows: yellow yarn;

5^th-6^th rows: white yarn.

At 20 cm height, divide your work in the following way: right front – 1,5 pattern repeats, arm-hole – 0,5 pattern repeat, back – 3 pattern repeats, arm-hole – 0,5 pattern repeat, left front – 1,5 pattern repeat. Then, make front and back separately.

Back

Crochet straight. At 32 cm height from the beginning of work, leave the central 16 sts (1 pattern repeat) open, then, finish each part separately. At 33 cm height, finish your work.

Right Front

Crochet straight. At 26 cm height from the beginning of work, leave the central 16 sts (1 pattern repeat) open for neck-hole and then crochet straight. At 33 cm height, finish your work.

Left Front

Make in symmetry to the right front.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Fasten the plackets of front with 3 rows of single crochets. Fasten neck-hole and arm-holes with single crochets, alternating the colors in the following way: 1 row – yellow yarn, 1 row – white yarn, 1 row – yellow yarn. Sew buttons. For applique, make flower due to the scheme 2 and petal due to the scheme 3, for stem, make 30 chain sts and 1 row of single crochets. Sew applique to the left front, as it’s shown in the photo.

Hat

Start your work with yellow yarn. For bottom, make 6 chain sts and circle them in the ring, then, work due to the scheme 4. Make sides due to the scheme 5, alternate the colors of yarn: * 2 yellow rows, 1 white row*; repeat from * to *. At 15 cm depth of hat, finish your work. Fasten bottom due to the scheme 6. For applique, make a flower due to the scheme 2, as it’s shown in the photo.
