​Green Set of Vest and Hat

You’ll need:

600 (650) 700g of green Linie 310 Alpaca (100% alpaca; 100m/50g);

Knitting needles 4,5;

Double-pointed knitting needles 4 and 4,5;

Auxiliary needle;

Crochet hook 4;

Green fur pompom.

Size: S (M) L.

Used Patterns

Garter stitch: knit sts;

Pattern with cables (33 sts wide): due to the scheme, in WS row – purls. Repeat 1^st-50^th rows.

Waffle pattern (8 sts wide): due to the scheme. Start due to the instructions, pattern repeat, finish due to the pattern. Repeat 1^st-20^th rows.

Stitches control: waffle pattern, knitting needles 4,5: 19 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Pattern with cables, knitting needles 4,5: 33 sts = 12 cm.

Vest

Back

Cast on 11 sts with knitting needles 4,5 and work with pattern with cables between selvage sts, increase 22 (18) 14 x 2 sts and 0 (4) 8 x 3 sts in every 2^nd row from both sides, beginning from the central 9 sts = 35 sts. Then, make increased sts with waffle pattern in order to finish waffle pattern at arrow A from the pattern with cables from the right side, and start from arrow B from pattern with cables from the left side. In 82 (83) 84 cm from the set-up row, bind off the central 35 (39) 43 sts for the neck-hole and then, knit both sides separately, bind off 1 x 5 sts and 1 x 3 sts in every 2^nd row. In 84 (85) 86 cm from the set-up row, bind off the rest sts of shoulder.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but for deeper neck-hole, bind off the central 15 (19) 23 sts in 68 (69) 70 cm from the set-up row and then knit separately and bind off 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 3 x 2 sts, 3 x 1 st in every 2^nd row and 2 x 1 st in every 4^th row. Bind off the sts of shoulder at the height of back.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. At 45 cm height from the bottom edge, make side seam. Fasten arm-holes with 1 row of single crochets and 1 row of “shrimp stitch”. For tassels, fold 2 threads of yarn 15cm long.

Collar

Cast on 35 sts and work with pattern with cables between selvage sts. Bind off the sts. Sew the set-up row and bound off row. Sew collar to the neck-hole.

Hat

Cast on 100 sts with double pointed knitting needles 4 and make 4 cm of garter stitch for placket with circle row, increase 12 sts in the last circle row. Change to knitting needles 4,5 and work with waffle pattern. In 18 cm from placket, change to knitting needles 4 and work with garter stitch, make decrease by means of making the 7^th and 8^th sts as knit2tog. Repeat these decreases in every 2^nd row x 6 times. Tighten the rest 14 sts in 12rows. Sew pompom.
