Main pattern: due to the scheme. Both RS and WS rows are stated on the scheme. Read RS rows from right to left, WS rows – from left to right. Repeat 1^st-8^th rows.

Stitches control: 32 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 148 (164) 180 sts and make the 1^st (WS) in the following row: 1 selvage st, 2 purls, * 4 knit sts, 4 purls*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage st. Then, continue work with the main pattern due to the scheme, make pattern of 8 sts after 1 selvage st x 18 (20) 22 times, finish with 2 sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. At 44 (42) 40 cm height, bind off 1 x 4 sts from both sides for arm-holes, then, 2 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row = 116 (132) 148 sts. At 82 cm height, bind off the central 36 sts for neck-hole, then, 2 x 4 sts in every 2^nd row. At 64 cm height, bind off the rest 31 (39) 47 sts for each shoulder.

Left Front

Cast on 76 (84) 92 sts and make rib in the same way, as for back. Then, work with the main pattern, make pattern repeat of 8 sts x 9 (10) 11 times. At 44 (42) 40 cm height, make arm-hole from the right side in the same way, as for back = 60 (68) 76 sts. At 54 cm height, bind off 1 x 9 sts from left side for neck-hole, then, 2 x 3 sts, 3 x 2 sts, 8 x 1 st in every 2^nd row. At 64 cm height, bind off the rest 31 (39) 47 sts of shoulder.

Right Front

Make in symmetry to the left front.

Sleeves

Cast on 92 (92) 100 sts and start in the same way, as back, make pattern repeat of 8 sts x 11 (11) 12 times after rib, when you change to the main pattern. For sleeve widening, increase 1 x 1 st after 32 (15) 15 rows from both sides, then, 7 x 1 st in every 12^th row (10 x 1 st in every 8^th row and 5 x 1 st in every 6^th row) 10 x 1 st in every 8^th row and 5 x 1 st in every 6^th row = 108 (124) 132 sts. At 44 cm height, bind off 1 x 4 sts from both sides for sleeve caps, then, 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, 15 x 1 st, 1 x 2 sts, 2 x 3 sts and 2 x 4 sts in every 2^nd row, after that, bind off the rest 24 (40) 48 sts. Total height of sleeve is 60 cm. Make the second sleeve in the same way.

Assembly

Make all the seams, sew up the sleeves in the arm-holes. Lift 102 sts along left front and work with rib, start and finish with 1 selvage st and 4 purls in the 1^st WS row. Bind off the sts at 6 cm height. Fold the placket in half and sew from WS. Make placket for right front in the same way, but make 5 button-holes x twice. Sew buttons.
