​Relief Crochet Cardigan with Scarf

You’ll need: 

400g of coral-pink Ode yarn (50% extra fine wool, 50% polyamide; 165m/50g);

150g of pink with gold shade color Zlato yarn (70% viscose, 30% lurex; 190m/50g);

Crochet hook 3;

1 button 3 cm diameter.

Used Patterns

Round motif: due to the scheme 1. Make 6 chain sts, circle them in the ring and work with circle rows. Make 1 row with Ode yarn, 2 rows – with Zlato yarn, 3 rows – with Ode yarn;

Relief pattern: due to the scheme 2. At first, make 1^st-3^rd rows x once, then, repeat 2^nd-3^rd rows. Repeat the pattern of 10 sts and 2 rows.

Stitches control: relief pattern: 28 sts x 9 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Round motif = 10,5 cm diameter.

Instructions

Back and Front

Make 38 round motifs due to the scheme 1 and 4 half-round motifs due to the scheme 1 a, connect them in stripes in the last row. You should get 5 stripes – 3 stripes of 8 round motifs, 2 stripes of 1 half-round motif + 7 round motifs + 1 half-round motif. Fasten the ready-made stripes with Ode yarn, connect them in one-piece cloth due to the scheme 3. Fasten the upper edge of work due to the scheme 3a, 1^st-2^nd row – with Ode yarn, 3^rd row – with Zlato yarn, 4^th and all the following rows – with Ode yarn. Then, continue work with relief pattern and Ode yarn. At the same time, decrease 4 x 5 sts in every 2^nd row from both side for neck-hole. At 5 cm height from the relief pattern, make left and right halves of front and back separately.

Right Front

Leave 10 sts at 21 cm from the vertical edge of front, decrease 2 x 5 sts in every 2^nd row for arm-hole. At the same time, continue making decreases for neck-hole, as it’s previously described. After finishing decreases for arm-hole and neck-hole, crochet straight. At 21 cm height from the beginning of relief pattern, finish your work.

Left Front

Make in symmetry to the right front.

Back

Make in the same way, as front, making decreases for arm-holes from both sides of front. At 19,5 cm height from the beginning of relief pattern, leave the central 41 sts for neck-hole. Then, decrease 1 x 5 sts from each side. At 21 cm height from the relief pattern, finish your work.

Sleeves

Make 3 round motifs, connect them in the stripe. Fasten the upper edge of stripe due to the scheme 3a, alternate the yarn in the same way, as for front and back. Then, work with relief pattern due to the scheme 2 with Ode yarn. At 38 cm height from the beginning of relief pattern, leave 10 sts from both sides. For sleeve caps, decrease 5 x 4 sts in every 2^nd row from both sides. At 49 cm height from the beginning of relief pattern, finish your work.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Fasten the vertical edges of front due to the scheme 4, make button-loop of 5 chain sts on the right front. Fasten the neck-hole with Ode yarn due to the scheme 4a. Make sleeve seams, sew up the sleeves. Sew button.

Scarf

Length: 180 cm without fringe.

Make 2 round motifs due to the scheme 1, alternate the yarn. Fasten the upper edge due to the scheme 3a, alternate the yarn. Then, continue work with relief pattern due to the scheme 2 with Zlato yarn on fastening one of the round motifs. Make stripe of relief pattern 150 cm long, connect it with the fastening of the 2^nd motif in the last row. Decorate round motifs with fringe from Ode yarn due to the scheme 5 in the 2^nd row of the scheme 1.
