​Relief Beige Jacket

You’ll need:

550 (600)g of beige California yarn (55% cotton, 45% polyacryl; 95m/50g);

Straight knitting needles 4,5 and 5;

Circular knitting needles 5.

Size: S (M).

Used Patterns

Garter stitch, knitting needles 4,5: knit;

Relief pattern, knitting needles 5: the quantity of sts is multiple 10 + 1 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which both RS and WS rows are stated. Start with 1 selvage st, pattern repeat, finish with st after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1^st-9^th rows x once, then, repeat 2^nd-9^th rows.

2 x 2 rib, knitting needles 5.

Stitches control: relief pattern: 18 sts x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Rib: 20 sts x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 93 (113) sts and make 0,5 cm = 3 rows of garter stitch, start with WS row. Then, work with relief pattern. In 32 cm = 74 rows (35,5 cm = 82 rows) from the placket, bind off 5 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts in every 2^nd row = 73 (93) sts. In 48 cm = 110 rows (55 cm = 126 rows) from the placket, bind off the central 7 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 1 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from inwards. In 53 cm = 122 rows (60 cm = 138 rows) from the placket, bind off the rest 23 (33) sts of shoulder from both sides.

Left Front

Cast on 33 (43) sts and make placket in the same way, as back. Then, work with relief pattern. Make arm-hole from the right side in the same way, as for back. Bind off the rest 23 (33) sts of shoulder at the height of back.

Right Front

Make in symmetry to the left front.

Sleeves

Cast on 50 (54) sts and make 10 cm = 22 rows of rib, start and finish with 1 knit st between selvage sts and increase 3 (9) sts in the last WS row = 53 (63) sts. Then, work with relief pattern. In 21 cm = 48 rows from rib, increase 1 st from both sides for sleeve chamfers and 4 x 1 st in every 6^th row = 63 (73) sts, include the increased sts in the pattern. In 33 cm = 76 rows from rib, bind off 3 sts from both sides for sleeve caps and 1 x 2 sts, 10 x 1 st, 2 x 2 sts and 2 x 3 (4) sts in every 2^nd row. In 47 cm = 108 rows from rib, bind off the rest 13 (19) sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams, cast on 216 (244) sts along the edges of front and neck-hole with circular knitting needles and make collar with rib, start and finish with 2 purls between selvage sts. Bind off all the sts at 16 cm height of collar. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
