Emerald Green Knit Dress
You’ll need:
450g of green yarn Silke Gioia Babby (# 111) (100% merino wool; 140m/50g);
100g of emerald yarn Silke Fleurdelise (80% mohair, 20% polyamide; 250m/25g);
Straight and circle knitting needles 3,5 and 4.
Size: S-M.
Instructions
Back Yoke
Cast on 80 sts with emerald yarn and knitting needles 3,5 and work with stockinette stitch. In 15 cm from the set-up row, bind off the central 32 sts for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts and 2 x 2 sts in every 2nd row from inwards. In 17 cm from the set-up row, bind off 6 sts from the outer edge for shoulder chamfer and 1 x 6 sts, 1 x 5 sts in every row. In 19 cm from the set-up row, all the sts should be bound off.
Front Yoke
Make in the same way, as back yoke, but with deeper neck-hole. For this, in 13 cm from the set-up row, bind off the central 32 sts and 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts in every row.
Back
Cast on 151 srs with green yarn and knitting needles 4 and make 6 rows of garter stitch. Then, divide the sts in the following way: 2 sts of wrong-side pattern, * 27 sts of the main pattern (= pattern repeat 1), 3 sts of wrong-side pattern*; repeat from * to *, 2 sts of wrong-side pattern. For better fitting, make 3 decreases in every stripe of 3 purls (as purl2tog) until there are no sts between cables. In 71 cm from the set-up row, bind off 5 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row. In 73 cm from the set-up row, make 6 rows of garter stitch. In 75 cm from the set-up row, bind off the rest sts.
Front
Make in the same way, as back, but cast on 149 sts and start and finish with 1 st of wrong-side pattern.
Sleeves
Cast on 120 sts with emerald yarn and knitting needles 3,5 and work with stockinette stitch, bind off 1 st in every 8th row from both sides for sleeve chamfers. In 47 cm from the set-up row, bind off 4 sts from both sides for sleeve caps and 2 sts in every 2nd row. In 70 cm from the set-up row, bind off the rest sts.
Assembly
Sew all the details. Make shoulder seams. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
Collar
Cast on 158 sts with green yarn and knitting needles 4 and make 6 rows of garter stitch. Then, divide the sts in the following way: 4 sts of wrong-side pattern, * cross 2 sts, * 6sts of wrong side pattern, 15 sts of the main pattern (= pattern repeat 2), 6 sts of wrong-side pattern, cross 2 sts, 8 sts of wrong-side pattern*; repeat from * to * , 4 sts of wrong-side pattern, 1 selvage st. For collar chamfers, bind off 1 st in every 2nd row before and after each cable, until there are no sts between cables and 2 sts of wrong-side pattern between cable and the main pattern. In 48 rows from the set-up row, work with stockinette stitch. In 58 rows from the set-up row, bind off all the sts.
