200g of red yarn (53% acryl, 29% polyamide, 18% wool; 287m/50g);

200g of the same yarn, but peachy color;

Odds of contrast yarn;

Knitting needles 4,5 and 5,5;

Auxiliary needle;

Markers.

Size: XS; S; M; L; XL.

Used Patterns

1 x 1 rib;

3 x 3 rib;

Relief net: is made on odd quantity of sts:

1^st row: 1 selvedge st, * knit2tog, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to * to the last 2 sts, 1 knit st, 1 selvedge st;

2^nd and 4^th rows: purl;

3^rd row: 1 selvedge st, 1 knit st, * 1 yarn over, 1 broaching (slip 1 knit st, 1 knit st, throw the slipped st on the knit st)*; repeat from * to * to the last st, 1 selvedge st.

Repeat 1^st-4^th rows.

Fancy pattern: due to the scheme.

Stitches control: fancy pattern with knitting needles 5,5: 94 sts = 40 cm;

Relief net with knitting needles 5,5: 14 sts x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

This sweater is made with 2 threads of yarn.

Back

Cast on 129; 135; 141; 141; 147 sts and make 3 x 3 rib to 6 cm height, starting and finishing with 3 knit sts.

Continue with fancy pattern and relief pattern with knitting needles 5,5, don’t make selvedge sts for the last pattern in the 1^st and 3^rd rows (see the description above). Make in the 1^st row for a) d) – 1 increase, for b) e) – 1 decrease, for c) – 3 decreases.

You should get 130; 134; 138; 142; 146 sts. Divide them in the following way:

a) 1 selvedge st, 17 sts of relief pattern, 94 sts – central part of work, 17 sts of relif pattern, 1 selvedge st;

b) 1 selvedge st, 19 sts of relief pattern, 94 sts – central part of work, 19 sts of relif pattern, 1 selvedge st;

c) 1 selvedge st, 21 sts of relief pattern, 94 sts – central part of work, 21 sts of relif pattern, 1 selvedge st;

d) 1 selvedge st, 23 sts of relief pattern, 94 sts – central part of work, 23 sts of relif pattern, 1 selvedge st;

e) 1 selvedge st, 25 sts of relief pattern, 94 sts – central part of work, 25 sts of relif pattern, 1 selvedge st.

At 33 cm (76 rows) height from the rib, place marker on the selvedge st, marking the arm-hole. Knit straight.

At 51 cm (118 rows); 52 cm (120 rows); 53 cm (122 rows); 54 cm (124 rows); 55 cm (126 rows) from the rib, form shoulder line and bind off from each side:

a) 1 x 5 sts, then in every 2^nd row: 4 x 5 sts and 2 x 6 sts;

c) 1 x 5 sts, then in every 2^nd row: 6 x 6 sts;

d) 1 x 6 sts, then in every 2^nd row: 6 x 6 sts;

e) 1 x 6 sts, then in every 2^nd row: 4 x 6 sts and 2 x 7 sts.

At the same time, at 54 cm (124 rows); 55 cm (126 rows); 56 cm (128 rows); 57 cm (130 rows); 58 cm (132 rows) height from the rib, form the neck-hole, and bind off the central a) b) c) 18 sts, d) e) 20 sts. Finish each part separately, bind off in every 2^nd row from inwards: 1 x 12 sts and 1 x 7 sts.

Front

Make in the same way, as back to the arm-hole. You should get 130; 134; 138; 142; 146 sts.

At 45 cm (104 rows); 46 cm (106 rows); 47 cm (108 rows); 48 cm (110 rows); 49 cm (112 rows) from rib, form the neck-hole, bind off the central a) b) c) 16 sts, d) e) 18 sts. Finish each part separately, bind off in every 2^nd row from inwards: 2 x 4 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, 4 x 1 st, then in 4 rows, 1 x 1 st.

At the same time, at 51 cm (118 rows); 52 cm (120 rows); 53 cm (122 rows); 54 cm (124 rows); 55 cm (126 rows) from the rib, form shoulder line and bind off from outer side:

a) 1 x 5 sts, then in every 2nd row: 4 x 5 sts and 2 x 6 sts;

b) 1 x 5 sts, then in every 2nd row: 2 x 5 sts and 4 x 6 sts;

c) 1 x 5 sts, then in every 2nd row: 6 x 6 sts;

d) 1 x 6 sts, then in every 2nd row: 6 x 6 sts;

e) 1 x 6 sts, then in every 2nd row: 4 x 5 sts and 2 x 7 sts.

Make the second part in the same way.

Sleeves

Cast on 38; 38; 44; 44; 50 sts with knitting needles 4,5 and make 6 cm of 3 x 3 rib, starting the 1^st row with 4 knit sts, finish it with 4 purls. Turn to knitting needles 5,5 and relief pattern, making in the 1^st row for a) c) e) 1 increase, for b) d) 3 increases. You should get 39; 41; 45; 47; 51 sts.

Then, make increases from each side, include the increased sts in the ornament:

a) in every 12^th row: 6 x 1 st;

b) in every 12^th row: 6 x 1 st;

c) in every 12^th row: 5 x 1 st, in every 10^th row 1 x 1 st;

d) in every 12^th row: 4 x 1 st, in every 10^th row 2 x 1 st;

e) in every 12^th row: 2 x 1 st, in every 10^th row 4 x 1 st.

You should get 51; 53; 57; 59; 63 sts.

At 37 cm (84 rows); 36,5 cm (82 rows); 35,5 cm (80 rows); 34,5 cm (78 rows); 32,5 cm (74 rows) from rib, bind off all the sts.

Make the second sleeve in the same way.

Neck-Hole Fringe

Cast on for a) b) c) 130 sts, for d) e) 134 sts with knitting needles 4,5 and make 1 x 1 rib to 2,5 cm height. Then, make 1 row of knit sts and row with another color yarn on RS.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Sew the upper part of sleeves between the marked sts of back and front. Make side and sleeve seams. Sew the fringe to the neck-hole line on RS.
