You’ll need:

150; 200g of 100% cotton yarn (100m/50g);

Crochet hook 3.

Size: S-M; L-XL.

Head circumference: 54-56; 58-60 cm.

Stitches control: 22 double crochets x 11 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Notes

Start from the crown and work around with double crochets. Make the pattern for the flaps due to the scheme A.1, turn from 1 row to the next row due to the scheme A.2.

Decreases: make 2 double crochets with common top.

Increases: make 2 double crochets from 1 base st.

Instructions

Make 5 chain sts and circle them in the ring with slip st. Then, work due to the following description:

1^st row: 11 double crochets in the ring;

2^nd row: 2 double crochets in every st of the row;

3^rd row: * 2 double crochets in the next/first double crochet, 1 double crochet in the next double crochet*; repeat from * to *. (33 doublecrochets);

4^th row: * 2 double crochets in the next/first double crochet, 1 double crochet in the next 2 double crochets*; repeat from * to *. (44 doublecrochets);

5^th row: * 2 double crochets in next/first double crochet, 1 double crochet in the next 3 double crochets*; repeat from * to * (55 double crochets).

Continue work due to this description. Then, make increases in every row, finish in the 9^th row. There are 99 double crochets in work.

For size S-M

10^th row: * 2 double crochets in the next/first double crochet, 1 double crochet in the next 10 double crochets*; repeat from * to *. (108 double crochets).

Continue working around, make 1 double crochet in every st. After 16 cm, decrease 3 crochets in the last row. There are 105 double crochets left.

Make flaps due to the scheme A.1, repeat the pattern 15 times. Finish your work in the 9^th row of the scheme. There are 135 double crochets in work. Cut and fasten the yarn, weave in the end.

For size L-XL

10^th row: * 2 double crochets in the next/first double crochet, 1 double crochet in the next 8 double crochets*; repeat from * to * (110 double crochets);

11^th row: 1 double crochet in the first 2 double crochets, * 2 double crochets in the next/first double crochet, 1 double crochet in the next 17 double crochets*; repeat from * to *. (116 double crochets).

Make double crochets around to 17 cm height (from the 1^st row). Decrease 4 double crochets in the last row. Continue work due to the scheme of flap pattern.

Repeat the pattern 6 times in the row. After finishing the last 9^th row, you should get 144 double crochets. Cut and fasten the yarn, weave in the end.
