Leather Beauty Bag
You’ll need:
Sheets of leather (different);
Backing fabric;
Vliesofix;
Cord;
Pins;
Clasps;
Needle;
Glue for leather;
Threads;
Zipper 18 cm long;
Ruler;
Pencil;
Scissors.
Instructions
Cut out a strip of 26 x 3 cm from the leather, glue a rigid pad 26 x 1.5 cm along the center. Tuck the longitudinal sections of the strip of leather and fix it with leather glue (Prym).
Iron vliesofix to a flap of red skin. Cut a strip of 26 x 1.5 cm and press it to the back of the handle.
Stitch the handle to the edge along the longitudinal sides.
Draw a 21x15 cm template. Round the corners at the bottom. Cut out.
According to the pattern, cut out the front part of the beauty bag from the leather. Cut the same part without allowances from the hard pad and stick to the leather. Cut the allowances of the leather part along the cutout of the heart, not reaching 2 mm to the edges of the gasket, glue it.
Cut out a heart from pink leather, put it under the cutout of the front part of the beauty bag and stitch it from the front side close to the edges of the cutout.
Cut a strip of 55 x 3 cm from the leather, glue the cord in the center along the strip. Glue the halves of the strip by pressing them firmly against each other with your fingers or using a hammer.
Using the fabric clamps, fasten the edging on three sides of the front part; in the rounding sections, cut the edging. Stitch the edging to the part close to the cord.
Unscrew the allowance for the upper cut of the front part to the wrong side and fix it with the clips together with one half of the zipper. Lay the line. Cut out the back part of the beauty bag (without a heart), strengthen it with a rigid gasket. Stitch the other half of the zipper as well.
Fold the front and back parts of the cosmetic bag with the front sides, fasten with clips and grind, grabbing the handle.
From the lining fabric, cut out the front and back parts of the beauty bag, grind. Iron the upper cut allowance to the wrong side, 1 cm wide.
Insert the lining in the beauty bag and sew it manually along the allowances to the braid of the zipper.
