Instructions
Using a cutting knife and rug, cut out details of 10x22 cm in size: 5 parts from fabric of one color and 4 of another.
First you need to collect long strips, each of three parts. Fold the two parts of different colors face to face, stick them along one of the short sides and grind with an allowance of 0.6 cm. Add the third part to the finished parts in the same way, so that the colors alternate. Collect so three strips of three parts each.
Iron the seams. Now you need to collect the stripes into a single canvas so that the colors alternate in a checkerboard pattern. First, fold it face to face, chop and grind two strips along one of the long sides (0.6 cm allowance), then add a third to them in the same way. Iron the seams.
Collect a sandwich: a calico flap, a synthetic winterizer, a patchwork detail with the wrong side down. All layers can be fastened with a spray for temporary tissue fixation, and if it is not - with pins. Trim the edges of the sandwich, focusing on the patchwork detail.
Then you need to decide where the stitch will be held. Here it was decided to lay lines in the seams connecting the parts, plus - 4 additional parallel to short seams. Mark the lines for the stitches with a disappearing marker and lay the lines (an open foot for embroidery and quilting may help, but if you have no experience with it, it is better to pre-train).
Cut out a rectangle that dominates your pillow from the fabric using a sandwich as a template. Fold the parts face to face, pin them with pins and grind around the perimeter, leaving a section of about 10 cm unstitched. 0.6 cm allowances.
Unscrew the pillow, fill it with filler and sew the hole manually.
Make brushes. If you use a floss, everything is simple: fold the skein in half, tightly knit the thread at the bend, cut and trim the lower ends. If you have other threads, first make hanks similar to those that sell floss, then proceed the same way.
Insert the thread that the tassel is tied into the needle and sew the tassel to the corner of the pillow. Repeat with the rest of the brushes.
