​Boho Crochet Poncho

Skill level: Easy

Size: Adult – Teen

Supplies: Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable, 3 skeins, Worsted Weight #4

Hook: 6.00 mm [US J]

Gauge: 9 dc & 4 chains and 5 rows = 4 inches

Measurement: longest & widest points = 24” long x 54” wide. Neck = 17″ opening or 34″ diameter.

Stitch Abbreviations in US terms:

beg – beginning
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
fsc – foundation single crochet
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
sp(s) – space(s)
st(s) – stitch(es)

Special Stitches:

Beg Corner:

ch 3, 2 dc, ch 1, 3 dc in same st.

Corner:

3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc in same st.

Pattern starts here:

Note: Ch 3 counts as a stitch for beg corner.

Row 1: Fsc 104 sts, sl st to beg fsc, careful not to twist work.
Row 2: Beg corner; ch 2, *skip 3 sts, 2 dc in next st, ch 2*; repeat *-* total of 13 times; skip 3 sts, corner in next st, ch 2, repeat *-* 13 times, sl st to top of beg ch 3. (26 ch 2 sps, 2 corners).
Row 3: Sl st in next 2 sts and into ch 1 sp, Beg corner in same sp, *ch 2, skip 3 sts, 3 dc in next ch 2 sp*; repeat *-* total of 14 times; ch 2, skip 3 sts, corner in corner; repeat *-* 14 times, sl st to top of beg ch 3. (28 ch 2 sps, 2 corners).
Row 4-24: Repeat Row 3.
Row 25: Ch 1, 1 sc in next 2 sts, 3 sc in corner, *3 sc in next ch 2 sp; 1 sc in next 2 sts; repeat *-* to next corner, 3 sc in corner, 1 sc in next 2 sts; repeat *-* sl st to beg sc.
End off yarn, weave in ends.

Fringe: optional

Short Fringe: finished length 3” long fringe with 5 pieces of yarn in each ch 2 space around bottom.
