All-Seasons Crochet Cardigan with Hood
You'll need:
23 (28) skeins of yarn (73% acryl, 19% polyacryl, 8% polyesther; 70m/50g);
Crochet hook 6,5;
Pin 7,5 cm long.
Size: S-M (L-XL).
Used Patterns
Fancy pattern (the quantity of sts is multipled 7 + 5 + 3 chain sts increase).
1st row (right-side): 2 double crochets in the 4th chain st, skip 3 sts, 1 single crochet in the next st, * 3 chain sts, 1 double crochet in the next 3 sts, skip 3 sts, 1 sinlge crochet in the next st*; repeat from * to *;
2nd and all the following rows: 3 chain sts, 2 double crochets in the 1st single crochet, 1 single crochet in the arch of 3 chain sts, 3 chain sts, 3 double crochets, 1 single crochet in the last arch.
Stitches control: 4 motifs = 15,5 cm x 9 rows = 16 cm.
Instructions
Back and Front
This part is made as one-piece detail. Make 204 (232) chain sts for the bottom part, 28 (32) motifs of fancy pattern. In 52 (53) cm (29/30 rows) divide your work.
For the front part continue working on the first 6 (7) motifs, make 20 (23) cm (11/13 rows) and bind off the sts.
Leave 2 motifs for arm-holes, then crochet 20 (23) cm (11/13 rows) with fancy pattern for back and on the next 12 (14) motifs of bottom part, bind off the sts.
Leave 2 motifs for arm-holes, then crochet 20 (23) cm (11/13 rows) with fancy pattern for back and on the next 6 (7) motifs of bottom part, bind off the sts.
Hood
This detail is made in continuation of front half and back with fancy pattern on the first 4 motifs of right half, then on the middle 8 motifs of back and on the last 4 motifs of left half.
Continue on the obtained 16 motifs. In 38 cm (21 rows) from the beginning of hood: 3 chain sts, 1 double crochet in the 1st single crochet, 1 single crochet in the next arch of 3 chain sts, * 3 double crochets in the next single crochet, 1 single crochet in the next arch of 3 chain sts*; repeat from * to *.
Sleeves
78 (92) chain sts, 60 cm (34 rows) with fancy pattern, then 3 chain sts, 1 double crochet in the 1st single crochet, 1 single crochet in the next arch of 3 chain sts, * 3 double crochets in the next single crochet, 1 single crochet in the next arch of 3 chain sts*; repeat from * to *.
Assembly
Make shoulder seams. Fold the hood in half and make the seam in the upper part of hood. Sew the sleeves in the arm-holes. Make sleeve seams. Make 15 single crochets around the pin and bind off the sts.
