Instructions
Let's start with left bootie. For this, cast on 50 (58, 66) sts and knit 3 row of knit sts (garter stitch).
1st row: 1 knit st, * 1 purl, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to * to last st, 1 knit st = 74 (86 98) sts;
2nd row: 1 knit st, * 1 purl, 1 yarn over, knit2tog*; repeat from * to * to last st. Repeat the last row 2 (4, 4) times.
3rd row: 2 knit sts, * 1 purl, knit2tog*; repeat from * to * = 50 (58, 66) sts;
4th row: 20 (24, 28) knit sts, knit2tog, 6 knit sts, knit2tog, 20 (24, 28) knit sts = 48 (56, 64) sts;
5th row: 19 (23, 270 knit sts, knit2tog, 6 knit sts, knit2tog, 19 (23, 27) knit sts = 46 (54, 62) sts;
6th row: 18 (22, 26) knit sts, knit2tog, 6 knit sts, knit2tog, 18 (22, 26) knit sts = 44 (52, 60) sts;
7th row: 17 (21, 25) knit sts, knit2tog, 6 knit sts, knit2tog, 17 (21, 25) sts = 42 (50, 58) sts;
8th row: 16 (20, 24) knit sts, knit2tog, 6 knit sts, knit2tog, 16 (20, 24) knit sts = 40 (48, 56) sts;
9th row: 15 (19, 23) knit sts, knit2tog, 6 knit sts, knit2tog, 15 (19, 23) knit sts = 38 (46, 54) sts;
10th row: 14 (18, 22) knit sts, knit2tog, 6 knit sts, knit2tog, 14 (18, 22) knit sts = 36 (44, 52) sts; **
11th row: 10 (12, 14) knit sts, turn (leave to the auxilary needle). Then, 3 rows of knit sts and turn to the left sts.
Bind off the central 16 (20, 24) sts and cast on 12 (14, 16) sts, knit sts to end of row = 22 (26, 30) sts.
Next row: knit sts to last 3 sts, yarn over, knit2tog, 1 knit st (as button-hole). Then, 2 rows of knit sts and bind off all the sts.
Make right bootie in the same way as left till **, then - due to the following description.
1st row: 10 (12, 14) knit sts, turn (leave the rest sts to the auxilary needle);
2nd row: cast on 12 (14, 16) sts, knit sts to end of row = 22 (26, 30) sts;
3rd row: knit;
4th row: knit sts to last 3 sts, yarn over, knit2tog, 1 knit st, then, 2 rows of knit sts and bind off all the sts, turn to the left sts.
Bind off the central 16 (20, 24) sts, knit sts to end of row = 10 (12, 14) sts, then 3 rows of knit sts and bind off all the sts.
Sole
Cast on 8 sts and make 4 rows with knit sts. Then, add 1 st (knitting through back and front loops) from both sides = 10 sts.
4 (6, 8) rows - garter stitch.
Next row: add 1 st from both sides, as previously made = 12 sts.
4 rows with garter stitch, then decrease 1 st from both sides in each row x 3 times = 6 sts, bind off all the sts. Make heel seam, sew the sole and buttons.
