White Short Crochet Socks
You'll need:
2 skeins of 100% mercerized cotton yarn (107m/50g);
Crochet hook 3.
Instructions
Start with making toe. Wind the yarn around finger in a ring, make 8 single crochets and tighten your ring.
Crochet in spiral with the main pattern, catching sts through back loops and making increases in the following way:
1st row: 2 single crochets in every st = 16 sts;
2nd row: * 3 single crochets, 3 single crochets in the next st*; repeat from * to * = 20 sts;
3rd row: * 4 single crochets, 2 single crochet in the next st*; repeat from * to * = 24 sts;
4th row: * 2 single crochets, 2 single crochets in the next st*; repeat from * to * = 32 sts;
5th row: * 3 single crochets, 2 single crochets in the next st*; repeat from * to * = 40 sts.
Make 10 rows without increases.
After that, increase the sts from both sides in the following way: 2 single crochets in 1 st of the previous row, 19 single crochets, 2 single crochets in 1 st, 19 single crochets = 42 sts.
Make these increases x 3 in the next 5th row = 48 sts.
Then, crochet straight to the needed length of your feet to heel (about 16-17 cm).
Heel
Divide your work in two parts along the sides and continue working only the sts of lower part of foot - about 24 rows of straight rows: turn your work, 24 single crochets, turn.
Then, leave 1 single crochet unfinished, until you get 12 single crochets. Finish these 12 single crochets, after that, start making increases: 1 st in the beginning of each row until you get 24 single crochets. Continue crocheting around on all the sts of the main pattern x 5 times.
Cut and fasten the yarn, make side seams of heel.
