Knit Women's Belt
You'll need:
Vita baby yarn (100% acryl, 400m/100g);
Crochet hook 2,5 mm.
Length of belt: 73-75 cm.
Instructions
Cast on 7 sts + 2 selvedge sts.
Selvedge st: slip 1st st, without knitting, make the last as purl.
1st, 3rd and 5th rows: knit;
2nd, 4th and 6th rows: purl;
7th row: 1 selvedge st, 3 knit sts, knit2tog, 2 knit sts, 1 selvedge st;
8th row: 1 selvedge st, 3 purls. Don't knit the rest sts. Turn your work;
9th row: 1 selvedge st, 2 knit sts, 1 selvedge st;
10th row: 1 selvedge st, 3 purls, add 1 st to the right needle (or make yarn over), 3 purls, 1 selvedge st. Turn your work;
Make the right side of work, which wasn't previously knitted.
11th row: 1 selvedge st, 4 knit sts. Turn your work;
12th row: 1 selvedge st, 3 purls, 1 selvedge st.
Repeat from 1st to 12th row until you get the neede length.
Start making holes in the second stripe from the second hole. Knit in the same way, as the first stripe.
Binding Belt
Put 2 stripes together, one upon another. The upper should be the stripe with smaller quantity of holes. Draw the end of lower stripe in the first hole of the upper stripe. It will be the beginning of your belt. You'll get one binding. Consequently, the upper stripe is always inserted in the next hole of the lower stripe. Make each hole this way.
Sew lower and upper stripes together on the ends of your belt. Sew the button from one side and make a buttonhole from another side (make with chain sts).
