Materials

Yarn in the following colors:

The smaller bear was made with DK yarn, a 3 mm crochet hook, and has 10 mm safety eyes. For the bigger bear, a 4.5 mm crochet hook, worsted weight yarn, and 12 mm safety eyes were used. The small bear measures approximately 13 cm (5.1 inches), while the big bear measures around 17 cm (6.7 inches).

Place eyes between R12-13, leaving six stitches between them.

Embroider a "T" with dark brown color for the nose between R13-16, and for rosy cheeks, make a horizontal line between R13-14 with pink.

Stuff lightly at the beginning. With brown yarn:

Make two.

  • R1: 5 sc in mr
  • R2: *sc inc* [10]
  • R3-5: 10 sc [10]
  • R6: *3 sc, sc dec* [8]
  • R7-8: 8 sc [8]
  • R9: *2 sc, sc dec* [6]
  • R10: 1 ch, turn, flatten the piece and close it up working 3 sc

Break yarn leaving enough for sewing. Sew the arms on the sides of the body between R12-13.

Legs

Make two.

  • R9: 1 ch, turn, flatten the piece and close it up working 5 sc.

Break yarn leaving enough for sewing. Sew the legs on the sides of the body between R3-8.

Wings

Make two. With white yarn:

  • 9 ch
  • R1: 8 sc
  • R2: 1 ch, turn, 8 sc [8]
  • R3: 1 ch, turn, 7 sc [7]
  • R4: 1 ch, turn, 7 sc [7]
  • R5: 1 ch, turn, 5 sc [5]

Break yarn leaving enough for sewing. Secure and hide the starting tail. Sew the wings on the back of the body between R8-12, diagonally, opposite each other.

Halo

With yellow yarn:

  • 12 ch, join first and last chain with a sl st
  • R1: 1 ch, 1 sc in next stitch, 11 sc, sl st to first st of R [12]

Break yarn leaving enough for sewing. If you have the tail from the start, hide it. To sew the halo, first insert the needle through the same stitch in which you finished the halo, then through the magic ring of the head and pull it out between the magic ring and the second round of the head, go again through the halo but this time insert the needle on the chain side and then go again through the magic ring.
