• DK weight yarn

Gauge

• 4mm hook: 2″ x 2″ swatch = 4 rows of 7 dc

Pattern Notes

• Chains and finishing slip stitches are not included in the stitch count
• The last numbers in brackets are the total number of stitches in the round
• Stitches separated with a comma are to be made in separate spaces. eg. (sc, 2sc) would mean sc in first stitch then 2sc in next stitch
• Change colour while completing the previous stitch.
• Always start in same stitch as slip stitch
• If you have trouble using the MR with fluffy yarn, try making a separate MR with acrylic yarn.

Round 1

• Use Almond (A) yarn
• In a MR, ch x 1 & sc x 5
• sl st to 1st st & ch x 1

Round 2

• (sc + tr + ch + sc in 1 st) 5 times
• sl st to first st & fasten off
• (15 sts)

Face

• Ensure one star tip face upright
• Add safety eyes between either side of the MR
• Use black thread to sew a mouth at the bottom of the star, the same width as the eyes

Holly leaf

• Use Green (B) yarn and sew a diagonal line on the top left of the star
• Use Red (C) yarn and sew a dot in the middle of the Green (B) line

Pie Filling

Round 1

• Use color Brown (D) yarn
• In a MR, ch x 2 & dc x 12
• sl st to 1st st & ch x 2

• Sew on the star

Pie Pastry

Round 3

• Place both pieces together, wrong sides facing each other and work into both pieces to join. The star should be facing you.

Hanging loop

• Use C (red) yarn and tie a hanging loop to round 2 of the pie pastry
• Weave in all ends
