You can make it in one colour or in mix two colours.

For the sample, cast on 24 sts (2 patterns) + 2 selvedge sts. Knit due to the scheme. On the scheme you can see knit sts and partly purls. Repeat from 1st to 20th rows in height. Rotate the colour each 8 rows.
