Materials Needed:

Size 20 thread in color of choice. DMC Cebelia was used in the example.
Size 11 Steel Crochet Hook
Tapestry Needle
Stitch Chart

Thread Size: 20thread
Gauge: 7spaces per inch
Finished Size: =2½"x6"
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions
Ch 33, dc in 3rd ch from hook, *ch 2, sk 1 st, dc in next st. Rep from * across. End with a dc in last stitch.
Follow chart start with reading from left to right. You have already done the first row.
Read even numbered rows from left to right.
Read odd numbered rows from right to left.
Work the chart with 2 repeats of the chart. After you are done with the last row of the second heart, work the following around the perimeter of the bookmark.

Perimeter
In the first mesh, work the fol (sc ch3, sc, ch3, sc, ch3) [Sc,dc, ch3] Work bet [ ] in each mesh down the left, across the bottom, up the right and across the top. But work bet () at each corner. When you reach where you started the perimeter, slst in first sc to join. Fasten off and weave ends into back of work randomly with tapestry needle.

Starch lightly if desired. I didn't but you may if you like.
