To begin
To start, make a slip knot.
1: Ch.5, HDC into 3rd chain from hook, HDC into next 2 st, 2 HDC into last chain.
2: Ch.2 (counts as your 1st HDC), turn your work, HDC into same 1st stitch (=2 HDC together), HDC into each st along, 2 HDC into last st.
3-76: Repeat row 2.
Do not fasten off.
Single Crochet Border
We will be placing the border on the 3 different sides of this triangle, starting on the side where we finished the last row (we didn’t fasten off).
Ch 1 (=does not count as a stitch), place a SC evenly all across the first “side” of the triangle. There is no set number of SCs you should place, however make sure that you place enough SCs across this edge as SCs tend to “tighten” a project.
Once you have reached the end of this first side, continue placing SCs all across the next side. Once this is completed, repeat process on the third and last side of this shawl.
Once you have placed your last SC on this last side, slip stitch through the first ch 1 we created.
Fasten off, tidy up all loose ends.
