Instructions
Back and front of the tunic are knitted from bottom to up as whole work. Cast on 195 sts with circle needles, after that make 101 row of "braids" due to the scheme.
When the last row is finished, there are 130 sts left on the needles. Starting with 102nd row divide your work in 2 halves, 65 sts for back and 65 sts for front. Transfer 65 sts of front to the auxilary needle and leave them for some time. After that, start knitting back, on the 103rd row from the beginning and bind off the sts in a row from edges 13 times of 1 st. There will be 39 sts left after these decreases. Finish back in 129th row, bind off the last sts.
Knit front in the same way as back. After finishing back and front, you should gather the details and knit 2 straps beforehand. In order to make straps elegant, you should attach yarn to the selvedge row of back and crochet stripes of the needed length with the crochet hook, making holes for the fastener. Then fasten the upper zone with single crochets and also a row of "shrimp stitch".
