Notes

  • This pattern is written in US terminology.
  • This pattern is worked in rounds.
  • Ch 3 counts as st at the beginning of each round.
  • Ch 1 at the beginning of the row does not count as a stitch.
  • This pattern consists of a triangle turned into a circle.

Instructions

Chain 4, Slst to 1st ch to form a circle or use the magic circle method.

Row 1: Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc stitch), 2 dc into circle, ch 2, 3 dc into circle.

Row 2: INC Ch 3, turn. 2dc into the first st, 3dc, ch 2, 3dc in middle ch2 space. In the last stitch of the row (the ch 3 from the previous row), make 3 dc.

Row 3: INC Ch 3, turn. 2dc into first st, 3dc in next space (this is the space created between groups of 3dc), then (3dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in top ch sp, 3dc in next space, 3 dc in top of last stitch of the row.

Rows 4-9: INC repeat row 3 (working 3dc in each space across to the middle point) making your triangle as large or small as you’d like.

Round 6: Ch 1, sc 1 in 1st st, sc 1 in every st, ch 25 (try it on yourself to see if the circumference is OK, if you need to add more chains), Slst to 1st st to form a circle.

Round 7: Ch 1, dc 1 in 1st st from hook, dc 1 in next and around (in every ch) to end of round, Slst to 1st.

Round 8: Ch 1, sc 1 in 1st st and around the end of round Slst to 1st.

Collar Instructions

Round 9: Ch 1, Dc 1 in 1st st, dc 1 in next and around to end of round, Slst to 1st.

Round 10-14: Ch 1, dc 1 in 1st st, *Fpdc in next, Bpdc in next, repeat from * to last st, Slst to 1st.

Finishing

Secure the yarn, weave in the ends, and cut the yarn.
