Materials

  • Red Heart Super Saver in the color Minty (or other #4 worsted weight yarn)
  • 5 mm hook
  • Embroidery needle

US Women’s Sizes S (M, L)

S – 6/7
M- 8/9
L- 10/11

Stitches

Sl st- slip stitch
Ch- Chain
Sc- Single Crochet

Gauge
8 rows = 2 inch
8 sc = 2 inch

Pattern

Leave a long yarn tail when starting (about 12”) and Ch 34(36, 38)
R1: Sc in the 2nd ch from hook, sc across, turn. 33(35, 37)
R2-26(27,28): Ch 1, sc each at across, turn. Do not fasten off.

Toe

With an embroidery needle, weave your 12” yarn tail in and out along the short edge of your work. Pull tightly to cinch the toe. Thread the needle back through the corner you started at to further close off the toe area. Reinforce the cinched area with whip stitches. Then proceed to whip stitch the two sides of the slipper together through the first 7(8,9) stitches. Fasten off.



Finishing Row (video 9:39)

R27 (28,29): Ch 1, sc across to where the two sides of the slipper are whip stitched together, then sc back across the opposite side. Leave a long tail for sewing and fasten off.



Heel 

Whip stitch the heel closed using your ending yarn tail.
