Materials Needed
You will need:
- Any lace yarn – I used 100% cotton, 500 m / 100 g:
- Main color – white, blue, pink, light green for the cup
- Some brown yarn for coffee/tea
- Some black, yellow, blue, and pink or red yarn for decor
- Crochet hook – I used 1.0 mm
- Sewing needle

- inc – increasing (2 sc in 1 st)
- dec – decreasing (single crochet two stitches together)
Crocheting the Coffee / Tea
Begin with brown yarn. Turn your work after each row:
- 4 sc in magic ring, ch 2, turn (4)
- 1 hdc, 2 inc, 1 hdc, ch 2, turn (6)
- 1 hdc, inc, 2 sc, inc, 1 hdc, ch 2, turn (8)
- 1 hdc, (1 sc, inc) х 3, 1 hdc, ch 2, turn (11)
- 1 hdc, 2 sc, inc, 3 sc, inc, 2 sc, 1 hdc, ch 2, turn (13)
- 1 hdc, inc, 4 sc, inc, 4 sc, inc, 1 hdc, ch 2, turn (16)

Fasten off.
Creating the Back of the Cup
Make the second piece with the main color yarn (white in my case). Do not cut the white yarn!
Crocheting Both Pieces Together

- 1 hdc, inc, 17 sc, inc, 1 hdc, ch 1, do not turn (23)
- Continue working down along the pieces from point A to point C:

Do not turn. Single crochet from point A to point B.
Ch 14, 1 sl st at point A to create the handle of the cup.
Completing the Cup
Work along the chain: 9 sc, 3 inc, 2 sc. Single crochet the cup evenly around: from points B-C-D-A and along the handle again. At point B, C, D, A make 2 sc in 1 stitch. End with a sl st at point B. Fasten off and hide ends.
Creating the Label
For the label:
- Ch 10 with main color yarn
- Starting from the 2nd ch from the hook: 9 sc, ch 1, turn (9)
- Repeat 2-8: 9 sc, ch 1, turn (9)
- 9) dec, 5 sc, dec, ch 1, turn (7)
- 10) dec, 3 sc, dec, ch 1, turn (5)
- 11) dec, 1 sc, dec (3)
Single crochet the piece evenly around, making 2 sc in 1 st in the corners.
Do not cut the yarn! Ch 70 for the tape, work along the foundation chain, starting from the 2nd ch from the hook: 69 sc.
Fasten off and hide ends. Sew the tape to the cup.
Decorating Your Bookmark
Decorate the cup as you wish or use my variant.
Adding Eyes
Eyes, make 2:
- With black yarn:
- 6 sc in magic ring, 1 sl st in the 1st sc. Fasten off.
- Sew the eyes and embroider eyelashes and the mouth.
Creating a Flower Decoration
Flower:
- With yellow yarn:
- 5 sc in magic ring, 1 sl st
- Change to blue yarn.
- (ch 3, 2 dc, ch 3, 1 sl st) in 1 st; 1 sl st in the next st, repeat 5 times (see pict).
Sew the flower with white thread with wide stitches, making veins of the petals.
