Crochet Bunny Wreath Instructions

Notes

– The same method can be used with larger wire or foam wreath forms, by adding additional sc on rnd 1.

Join yarn to hook with a slip knot.

Rnd 1

Work 30 sc around wreath form (or until wreath form is fully covered), fasten off using the invisible join method. (30sc)

Weave in the loose ends using your finger or a crochet hook. The wreath portion of your Crochet Bunny Wreath is complete; follow instructions below for creating the bunny ears and adding embellishments.

Handmade Bunny Ears

For the bunny ears, you can use the pre-made Bunny Ear pick from Hobby Lobby, the full bunny wreath form, which I also found at Hobby Lobby, or you can create your own using floral wire and twine.

You can also use the end of a faux floral stem, which is what I used for the smaller ears shown below. The stems were already wrapped with floral paper, which was nice, and a time saver!

How to Create Bunny Ears with Floral Wire and Twine

  • Cut approximately three, 14 inch strands of floral wire, for each ear. Twist the ends of the three pieces together, and wrap them tightly together with another piece of floral wire.
  • Then, wrap the wire tightly with twine, hot gluing the end of each piece of twine to hold in place as you wrap.
  • Finally, shape the ears, and hot glue the ears on the wreath in desired location.

Adding The Embellishments

I used floral picks and cut the individual lamb’s ear and cotton off each pick, then placed in the desired location with hot glue. I created a basic bow with wire edged ribbon, and hot glued it on.

Play around with placement and different florals; the options are limitless. To create a hanger, I added a twine loop to the top of the wreath and weaved the twine around a few crochet loops in the back of the wreath to secure.

Your Crochet Bunny Wreath is complete, enjoy!!
