No-Space Double Crochet V-Stitch
- Working in a row or round, *work 2 dc in same st (V created), sk next st*, repeat from * to * around/across.
- On the remaining rows/rounds, *work 2 dc in the space between the two dc that create the V from the previous row/round (reference photo below), sk next st*, repeat from * to * around/across.
- For instructions on beginning and ending a row/round using the V stitch, follow your specific pattern instructions.
Scarf Instructions
- The pattern is worked in multiples of 2. If you add or subtract beginning foundation dc or chs make sure to end with an even number of sts before joining the circle.
- The scarf is made to form a continuous loop that can be doubled and slipped over the head.
- Beg chs of each rnd count as first dc.
Round 1
Complete 100 foundation dc (or until length measures approximately 56 inches, or desired scarf length), join with sl st in beg dc. (100 dc)
Alternate start: ch 100, being careful not to twist the ch, join with sl st in beg ch, ch 3, dc in remaining chs around, join with sl st in beg ch 3 (100 dc)
Round 2
Ch 3, working in blo, dc in same st as ch 3 (1st V-st created), skip next st, V-st in remaining sts around, join with sl st in beg ch 3. (100 dc)
Rounds 3-8
Working in both loops, sl st in space between 1st V-st from the previous rnd, ch 3, dc in same space as ch 3 (1st V-st created), work a V-st in each V-st from the previous rnd, join with sl st in beg ch 3. (100 dc)
* Depth should measure approximately 7”, repeat rnd 3 as many times as necessary to get to 7” or desired depth.
Round 9
