SPECIAL STITCHES

-Last Tunisian Stitch (Lts): insert hook under BOTH vertical bars of the last stitch and pull up a loop.

-Return Pass (RetP): Ch 1, (yo, pull through 3 lps, yo, pull through 2 lps) until 2 lps remain on hook, yo, pull through last 2 lps.

Scarf Pattern

ROW 1: With first color, ch 16, pull up a lp in the back bump of the 2nd ch from the hook and each rem ch, ch 1, (yo, pull through 2 lps) until 1 lp remains on hook.

ROW 2: (Tss 1, tfs 2) to last st, Lts (23 lps on hook), RetP as noted in Special Stitches.

Repeat Row 2 to 6 total rows with first color. Change to next color when 2 lps remain on hook on the Return Pass of Row 6. Fasten off first color.

Continue in this way, repeating Row 2 and adding 6 rows of each color before changing to the next color in the sequence – bind off the color no longer in use.

After the 6th row of the final color, proceed to Bind Off with the same color.

BIND OFF: For each tss, sl st loosely. For tfs sts, pull up a lp in each of the next 2 sps (3 lps on hook), yo, pull through all 3 lps on hook. Repeat across row, inserting hook as for Lts in the last st and completing the sl st.

FINISHING:

  • Weave in all ends.
  • Steam block to final dimensions.
