Crochet Little House Ornament

Materials and tools

  • any yarn red, milk and other colors for decoration (I used Alize Cotton Gold yarn (55% cotton, 45% acrylic, 330 m/100 gr)
    • crochet hook for your yarn (I used 2.25 crochet hook)
    • stuffing material: fiberfill
    • yarn needle, scissor
    • hanging tape
    • thick plastic or cardboard for the framework (optional)
  • The finished product using the materials described in this pattern is ~ 3.2 inches / 8 cm tall.

    Abbreviations

    MR– Magic ring
    Sl st– slip stitch
    Ch– chain
    Sc– single crochet
    Dc– double crochet
    Inc 3– sc, dc, sc in one stitch
    Inc– increase – 2 sc in one stitch
    Rnd– round
    FLO– front loop only

    Roof

    With red color yarn
    1 rnd – 6 sc into MR
    Leave a hole in MR to inserting the hanging tape into it later.
    2 rnd – 6 inc (12)
    3 rnd – (inc 3, 2 sc) х 4 times (20)
    4 rnd – 20 sc (20)
    5 rnd – sc, (inc 3, 4 sc) х 3 times, inc 3, 3 sc (28)
    6 rnd – 28 sc (28)
    7 rnd – 2 sc, (inc 3, 6 sc) х 3 times, inc 3, 4 sc (36)
    8 rnd – 36 sc (36)
    9 rnd – 3 sc, (inc 3, 8 sc) х 3 times, inc 3, 5 sc (44)
    10 rnd – 44 sc (44)
    11 rnd – 4 sc, (inc 3, 10 sc) х 3 times, inc 3, 6 sc (52)
    12 rnd – 52 sc (52)
    13 rnd – FLO – 5 sc, (inc 3, 12 sc) х 3 times, inc 3, 7 sc (60)

    15 rnd – 7 sl st, (ch, 16 sl st) х 3 times, sl st, 9 sl st + 2 sl st
    Fasten off and cut off the yarn.

    Walls

    Attach milk color yarn to the back loops of the 12nd round.
    1-12 rnd – 52 sc (52)
    In the end of the 12th round make +7 sc to reach the corner.
    Continue working in back and forth rounds: make a ch at the end of each round, turn, and
    continue working on the opposite side.
    1 rnd – FLO – 1 ch, 13 sc, ch, turn
    2-13 rnd – 13 sc, ch, turn
    Fasten off and cut off the yarn.

    Windows – (make 3)

    Use different colors yarn
    1 rnd – 6 sc into MR
    2 rnd – 6 inc (12)
    3 rnd – (inc 3, 2 sc) х 4 times, sl st
    Cut off the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing

    Door

    1 rnd – chain 6, and start working in the second stitch from the hook – 4 sc, 3 sc in the last stitch
    of chain, work on the other side of the chain – 4 sc, ch, turn and continue working in back and
    forth rounds.
    2 rnd – 4 sc, 3 inc, 4 sc, ch, turn
    3 rnd – 4 sc, (inc, sc) х 3 times, 4 sc
    Cut off the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.

    Assembly

    Insert the hanging tape into MR and tie a knot.
    Sew the windows and the door. My yarn consists of 4 threads, for sewing I used two of them.
    Hide the tail from inside.
