10 ply/Worsted Weight
5mm/H Hook
Sewing needle and scissors

Stitches used: US terms
ch = chain
hdc = half double crochet
back loop hdc
dc = double crochet
fpdc = front post double
bpdc = back post double crochet
Special st's used:
Cluster = yarn over hook, insert hook into st indicated, pull up a loop (repeat this step, 3 more times = 4 times in total = 9 loops on hook), yarn over hook and pull through 8 loops (2 st's on hook), yarn over hook and pull through 2 loops, (1 loop on hook, cluster finished)

Chain 60, sl st to join and form a circle.
Approx 19 inches long, medium adult head size.

Rnd 1. ch 1, work 1 hdc in next 5 ch, work 1 dc in next 50 chains, work 1 hdc in next 5 ch, to join sl st into the 1st hdc of the round. (5 hdc, 50 dc, 5 hdc)

Rnd 2. ch 1, work l back loop hdc in to each of the next 5 hdc, *work 1 fpdc around the next dc, work a bpdc around the next dc* repeat from *to* to end of the dc's of the round, work l back loop hdc in to each of the next 5 hdc, to join sl st into the 1st hdc of the round. (5 back loop hdc's, fpdc n bpdc 25 of each, 5 back loop hdc's)

Rnd 3. Ch 1, work l back loop hdc in to each of the next 5 hdc, *skip the 1st dc, work 1 dc in each of the next 4 dc, work the cluster into the skipped dc* repeat from *to* to end of the dc's of the round, work l back loop hdc in to each of the next 5 hdc, to join sl st into the 1st hdc of the round.

Rnd 4. ch 1 and turn! work 1 hdc in the front loop of the next hdc and repeat this step for the next 4 hdc's, *skip 1st st, work 1 dc in each of the next 4 dc, work the cluster into the large space under the skipped st* repeat from *to* to end of the dc's of the round, work 1 hdc in the front loop of the next hdc and repeat this step for the next 4 hdc's, to join sl st into the 1st hdc of the round.

Rnd 5. ch 1 and turn! work l back loop hdc in to each of the next 5 hdc, work 1 dc in each of the next 50 st's, work l back loop hdc in to each of the next 5 hdc, to join sl st into the 1st hdc of the round. (5 hdc, 50 dc, 5 hdc)

Rnd 6. repeat rnd 2. Finished! Sew in all loose ends.
