Materials

Dk / weight 3 yarn I used Paintbox Simply DK in Slate Green for the background colour (276 metres per 100g) and various different colours for the animals.

4ply yarn in black and white for the eyes on the 4, 5 and 6.5”

3 and 4 mm crochet hooks

9 dc x 4 rows = 2” x 2”

Eyes

If making small, medium and large use a 3mm hook and black 4 ply yarn.

If making extra large use dk black yarn and 4mm hook

Round 1: In a magic circle, ch1, 6 sc, slst to the first and pull tight. (6)

Fasten off with a long end for sewing, sew one white line for small, medium and large and two white lines for extra large.

Mouse

Make the circle beige

Small 4” / Medium 5” square

EARS

Make two starting with pink

Round 1: make a magic circle, ch2, 14 dc into the circle, slst to first and pull tight. (14)

Change to beige

Round 2: ch1, *sc, 1, [2 sc] in the next* repeat to end, slst to first. (21) Fasten off with a long end for sewing.

NOSE

Using pink 4ply

Make a magic circle, ch1, 6 sc into the circle, slst to first and pull tight. (6) Fasten off with a long end for sewing.

Large 6.5” square

Make two starting with pink

Round 1: make a magic circle, ch2, 14 dc into the circle, slst to first and pull tight. (14)

Change to beige

Round 2: ch1, [2 hdc] in each stitch, slst to first. (28) Fasten off with a long end for sewing.

NOSE

Using pink

Make a magic circle, ch1, 6 sc into the circle, slst to first and pull tight. (6) Fasten off with a long end for sewing.
