Materials:
Approx. 1¼ ozs worsted weight 100% cotton yarn in 2 colors; aluminum crochet hook size G (4.5 mm) OR Size Needed for Gauge; tapestry needle to weave in ends (Optional Finishings are given at end of pattern)

Gauge:
4 hdc = 1", Rnds 1 - 3 = 1" (measured from bottom of sts of Rnd 1)

Finished Size:
Fits 14.7 oz Dish Detergent bottle (can be made longer to fit larger bottles)

Special Stitches:
Beginning Shell (beg shl) - ch 3, (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same st or sp
Shell (shl) - (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in st or sp indicated

Notes:
For larger detergent bottles, add 1 or 2 more Rnds (keeping in pattern) after Rnd 13.
If desired, add a Rnd of (sc in each st with 2 sc in each ch-2 sp) in Contrasting Color (CC) after last Rnd of pattern for a nice edging

With Main Color (MC), ch 20, join with sl st in first ch to form ring.

Rnd 1: ch 1, 40 sc in ring, join with sl st in top of first sc. (40 sc)

Rnd 2: ch 2 (counts as first hdc), hdc in each sc around, join with sl st in top of beg ch-2. (40 hdc)

Rnd 3: ch 2, 2 hdc in next st, (hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st) around, join with sl st in top of beg ch-2. (60 hdc)

Rnd 4: ch 2, hdc in each st around, join with sl st in top of beg ch-2. Fasten Off MC. (60 hdc)

Rnd 5: join CC with sl st in next hdc, beg shl, (sk next 2 sts, shl in next st) around, sk last 2 sts, join with sl st in top of beg ch-3. (20 shls)

Rnd 6: sl st next dc and into ch-2 sp, beg shl, dc in sp between shls, shl in next shl, holding last loops of sts on hook, dc in next sp between shls, sk next 6 shls, dc in sp between 6th skipped shl and next shl (joining dc made), shl in next shl, (dc in sp between shls, shl in next shl) 3 times, work joining dc, (shl in next shl, dc in sp between shls) 2 times, join with sl st in top of beg ch-3. Fasten Off CC. (8 shls, 8 dc)

Rnd 7: join MC with sl st in ch-2 sp of first shl, beg shl, dc in next dc between shls, (sh in next shl, dc in next dc between shls) around, join with sl st in top of beg ch-3. (8 shls, 8 dc)

Rnds 8 - 13: sl st in next dc and into ch-2 sp, beg shl, dc in next dc between shls, (sh in next shl, dc in next dc between shls) around, join with sl st in top of beg ch-3. (8 shls, 8 dc) At end of last Rnd, Fasten Off. Weave in ends.

OPTIONAL FINISHINGS:
Cut a piece of ¼" ribbon in coordinating color about 19" long and weave through sts of Rnd 6, then tie in bow in center front.

Add a Bow and/or ribbon rose just below center front of neckline.
