Hook Size | F |
Measurements | yellow circle 2 1/2" wide strap is 3 3/4" long |
Notes | Make 2 (circles) |
Row 1: Ch 3, sl st tog to form a ring. Ch 2, 11hdc into the ring, sl st tog.
Row 2: Ch 2, hdc in same st, 2hdc in each st around. Sl st tog to beg hdc, not ch 2...this pulls it tog and makes sure there isn't a hole. Fasten off and weave in end on 1st circle. On 2nd circle, do not fasten off. Sc the two circles tog (wrong sides on the inside-right sides out). As you are almost done with sc the circles tog, place jingle bells inside...sc the rest of the way closed. Do not fasten off. Ch 2, sc in next st. Rep this around to make a ruffle. For a boy, you might not want to add this. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Strap:
Attach yarn with a sl st to back under the ruffle, ch 20 turn, hdc down the chain. Sl st to the circle. Finish sewing the end to the circle. Make sure this is secure as you are making it for an infant.
Snaps:
I sewed the bottom snap onto the other side of the circle. Then I sewed the two top parts at two different places, so that it is adjustable. Make sure this is done securely as you are making it for an infant.
