​Knit Stripped Top

You’ll need:

200 (250) g of turquoise Linie 134 Candy yarn (100% cotton; 156m/50g);

50g of the same yarn, but in white color;

Knitting needles 2,5 and 3;

Crochet hook 3.

Size: S (M).

Used Patterns

Garter stitch: knit sts;

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;

Stripes order: 2 turquoise rows, 2 white rows by turn.

Lace pattern: due to the scheme. Start with sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat. Make 1^st-7^th rows x once, then, repeat 2^nd-7^th rows.

Stitches control: stockinette stitch: 28 sts x 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Lace pattern: 20,5 sts x 12 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Bottom of Front and Back

Make 91 (101) chain sts + 1 chain st increase and work with lace pattern with turquoise yarn. In 30 cm from the set-up row, finish your work.

Back Yoke

Cast on 124 (138) sts with turquoise yarn and knitting needles 3 and work with stockinette stitch due to the stated order. In 12 cm from the set-up row, bind off 5 sts from both sides for arm-holes, 1 x 4 sts, 1 (2) x 3 sts, 1 (2) x 1 st. In 10 cm from the beginning of arm-hole, change to knitting needles 2,5 and make 2 cm of garter stitch with turquoise yarn and bind off the sts.

Front Yoke

Cast on 124 (138) sts with turquoise yarn and work with stockinette stitch due to the stated order. For better fitting, mark the 21^st (24^th) st and the next 20^th (22^nd) st x 4 times. Increase sts near the 1^st and 2^nd marks before sts, near the 3^rd mark from both sides, neat the 4^th and 5^th marks from both side in every 4^th row in the following way: 14 x 1 st near the 1^st and 5^th marks, 8 x 1 st near the 2^nd and 4^th marks, 5 x 2 sts near the 3^rd mark. In 9 cm from the set-up row, bind off the central 32 (38) sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 7 sts, 1 x 5 sts, 2 x 4 sts, 6 x 2 sts and 6 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from inwards. Make arm-holes from both sides in the same way, as for back. In 10 cm from the beginning of work, arm-holes should be bound off.

Assembly

Make side seams: for straps and placket, cast on 10 sts with turquoise yarn and knitting needles 2,5 and work with garter stitch: for strap – for 25 cm, for neck-hole placket – 34 (35) cm. Sew placket and straps. Fasten arm-holes and outer edges of straps with 1 row of single crochets and 1 row of “shrimp stitch” with turquoise yarn.
