Fantasy pattern A: stitch count multiple of 6. Work in the round.

1st (right side) row: 1 chain stitch, 1 single crochet into the first chain stitch, skip 2 chain stitches, 5 double crochets with yarn over into the next chain stitch, skip 2 chain stitches, 1 single crochet into the next chain stitch, skip 2 chain stitches, 5 double crochets with yarn over into the next chain stitch, repeat from * to *, 1 slip stitch into the first single crochet.

2nd row: 3 chain stitches to rise, 2 double crochets with yarn over into the first single crochet, skip 2 double crochets with yarn over, 1 single crochet into the next double crochet with yarn over, skip 2 double crochets with yarn over, 5 double crochets with yarn over into the next single crochet, skip 2 double crochets with yarn over, 1 single crochet into the next double crochet with yarn over, repeat from * to *, at the end of the row skip 2 double crochets with yarn over, 2 double crochets with yarn over into the first single crochet, 1 slip stitch into the 3rd chain stitch of the rise.

3rd row: 1 chain stitch, 1 single crochet into the slip stitch, skip 2 double crochets with yarn over, 5 double crochets with yarn over into the next single crochet *, skip 2 double crochets with yarn over, 1 single crochet into the next single crochet, skip 2 double crochets with yarn over, 5 double crochets with yarn over into the next single crochet *, repeat from * to *, 1 slip stitch into the first single crochet. Execute once from 1st to 3rd row, repeat from 2nd to 3rd row.

Fantasy pattern B: stitch count multiple of 6. Work in the round on fantasy pattern A after an even row:

1st row: 1 chain stitch to rise, skip 2 double crochets with yarn over, 1 shell into the next single crochet, skip 2 double crochets with yarn over, 1 slip stitch into the next single crochet, repeat from * to *, 1 slip stitch into the rise chain stitch.

2nd row: 1 chain stitch to rise, 1 single crochet into the next chain stitch, work 1 half-double crochet and 1 chain stitch in each of the next 4 double crochets with 2 yarn overs, 1 half-double crochet into the next double crochet with 2 yarn overs, 1 single crochet into the next slip stitch, repeat from * to *, 1 slip stitch into the first single crochet of the row.

3rd row: 5 chain stitches to rise, 1 1/2 shell into the first single crochet, skip 4 stitches, 1 slip stitch into the next single crochet *, skip 4 stitches, 1 shell into the next single crochet, skip 4 stitches, 1 slip stitch into the next single crochet *, repeat from * to *, at the end of the row work 1/2 shell into the first single crochet, 1 chain stitch, 1 slip stitch into the 4th chain stitch of the rise. Execute once from 1st to 3rd row, repeat from 2nd to 3rd row.

Arc pattern: stitch count multiple of 6 + 2. Work back and forth rows.

1st (right side) row: 1 single crochet into the second chain stitch, 7 chain stitches, skip 5 chain stitches, 1 single crochet into the next chain stitch, repeat from * to *.

2nd row: 8 chain stitches, 1 single crochet into the first arch, 7 chain stitches, 1 single crochet into the next arch, repeat from * to *, 3 chain stitches, 1 double crochet with 3 yarn overs into the first single crochet of the row.

3rd row: 1 chain stitch, 1 single crochet into the double crochet with 3 yarn overs, *7 chain stitches, 1 single crochet under the next arch*, repeat from * to *. Execute once from 1st to 3rd row, then repeat 2nd and 3rd rows.

Increasing 1/2 arch at the beginning or end of 2nd row: at the start of the row, crochet 10 chain stitches, 1 single crochet into the first arch, then repeat from * to * of the 2nd row description, at the end of the row crochet 5 chain stitches, 1 double crochet with 3 yarn overs into the first single crochet of the previous row. Then, at the beginning of each subsequent row, crochet 10 chain stitches, 1 single crochet into the first arch, and continue as described for the 2nd row, ending the row with 5 chain stitches, 1 double crochet with 3 yarn overs into the 4th chain stitch of the rise of the previous row.

Decreasing 1/2 arch at the beginning and end of the following row: at the start of the row, crochet 1 slip stitch and 1 single crochet into the first arch, then crochet as per the 2nd row description from * to *, and at the end of the row crochet 4 chain stitches, 1 double crochet with 2 yarn overs into the last arch. Then, at the beginning of each subsequent row, crochet 1 slip stitch and 1 single crochet into the first arch, continue as described for the 2nd row, and at the end of the row crochet 4 chain stitches, 1 double crochet with 2 yarn overs into the last arch.

Gauge:

Fantasy pattern A: 4 motifs and 15 rows = 9 x 10 cm;

Fantasy pattern B: 4 motifs and 16 rows = 11.5 x 10 cm;

Arcs: 4 arcs and 10 rows = 8 x 10 cm.

Crochet top construction description:

Lower part: chain 192/204/228/252/276 stitches, join into a ring with 1 slip stitch into the first chain stitch. Crochet in the round for 10 cm = 15 rows in fantasy pattern A = 32/34/38/42/46 motifs, then 26 cm = 41 rows in fantasy pattern B, and finish the work. Side slants form automatically.

Back: on the other side of the base chain, work the arc pattern in back-and-forth rows over half of the given chain (in the 1st row = 16/17/19/21/23 arcs). In the 2nd row, then in each subsequent row, increase 1/2 arch on both sides 9/10/11/13/14 times = 25/27/30/34/37 arcs. From the next row, decrease 1/2 arch on both sides 8 times in each row for the shoulder slant = 17/19/22/26/29 arcs, and finish the work.

Front: crochet over the second half of the base chain as the back, until the neckline cut. After 8/9/10/12/13 increases of 1/2 arch on both sides, divide the fabric into two parts.

1st part: chain 10 stitches, 1 single crochet into the first arch, then crochet • 10/11/12/12/13 times from * to * of the 2nd row description, then 4 chain stitches, 1 double crochet with 2 yarn overs into the next arch, turn the fabric, then continue crocheting on these arches, decreasing 1/2 arch on both sides in each row (on the right side for the shoulder slant, on the left side for the neckline cut) until only 3/4/5/6/7 arcs remain, then finish the work.

2nd part: skip 2/2/3/5/6 arches, 1 single crochet under the next arch, then crochet • from • to 1st part.

Assembly: sew shoulder seams from point X to point Y on the pattern. Crochet 1 row of fantasy pattern A around the armholes and neckline, then finish the work.
