Measurements: Height without hanging loop - 11cm (4.3'') tall. Width - 11cm (4.3'') at widest point.

Skill Level: Easy 

Materials used:
  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Drops Safran 100% cotton yarn. 4 grams (13 metres approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):
st. / sts - stitch / stitches
sl st. - slip stitch
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet
()*- repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.

Instructions:

Tree:
Start with ch4, sl st. into first ch to form a ring. Or, you can make a magic (adjustable) ring.
Round 1: ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc into ring, ch3,
(3dc into ring, ch3)* repeat 2 times.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

Round 2: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into next 2 dc sts, (3dc, ch3, 3dc) into next ch3 space,
(1dc into next 3 dc sts, (3dc, ch3, 3dc) into next ch3 space)* repeat 2 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

Round 3: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into next 5 dc sts, (3dc, ch3, 3dc) into next ch3 space,
(1dc into next 9 dc sts, (3dc, ch3, 3dc) into next ch3 space)* repeat 2 times around. 1dc into last 3 dc sts.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

Round 4: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into same st., 1sc into next 8 dc sts, (2sc, ch4, 1trc, 1dc) into next ch3 space, 1hdc into next dc st., 1sc into next dc st.,
(sl st. into next dc st., ch4, 1trc into same dc st., 1dc into next dc st., 1hdc into next dc st., 1sc into next dc st.)* repeat 3 times.
1sc into next dc st., (1hdc, 1dc, 1trc) into next ch3 space,
Hanging loop: ch15, sl st. into trc st.,

(1trc, 1dc, 1hdc) into same ch3 space, 1sc into next dc st.,
(1sc into next dc st., 1hdc into next dc st., 1dc into next dc st., 1trc into next dc st., ch4, sl st. into same dc st.)* repeat 3 times.
1sc into next dc st., 1hdc into next dc st., (1dc, 1trc, ch4, 2sc) into next ch3 space.
1sc into next 6 dc sts. Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Tree trunk: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into next 3 sc sts.

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.

Care : Hand wash or machine wash (depends on the yarn you have used)

Dry flat;

Blocking or steaming recommended;

Spray with starch if needed.
