Crochet Easter Basket Pattern
Section 1 – Base, Using MC
Round 1: In a Magic ring, ch 2, 12 hdc, join. 12 hdc.
Or ch 4, 12 hdc in 4th ch from hook, join—12 hdc.
Round 2: Ch 2, 2 hdc in each around, join—24 hdc.
Round 3: Ch 2, *hdc in next, 2 hdc in next; repeat from * around, join—36 hdc.
Round 4: Ch 2, *hdc in next 2, 2 hdc in next; repeat from * around, join—48 hdc
Round 5: Ch 2, *hdc in next 3, 2 hdc in next; repeat from * around, join—60 hdc
Round 6: Ch 2, *hdc in next 4, 2 hdc in next; repeat from * around, join—72 hdc

Section 2: Body

Basket Handle
With MC, chain 8. Join with a sl st to the first ch.
Round 1: Ch 1, sc in each ch around, place a st marker, and move after each round. 8 sc
Rounds 2 – 30: In BLO, sc in each st around. 8 sc
Leave a long tail of yarn and cut yarn.
To assemble
- Sew the handle to the basket, making sure to have the handle joined; at an equal distance from each other.
- Count 38 sts away from the just joined handle and secure the other side of the handle to the basket.

To assemble the flower
Start from the ruffled end
Roll in a circular fashion and gradually expand the circle until you have completed the whole piece.
Secure with yarn at different spots on the base.
Sew it ends.
Secure the flower to the basket at a point of your choice.
