​Nice Dress for a Girl

You’ll need:

100g of light-purple yarn Gold (92% acryl, 8% polyester; 400m/100g);

100g of the same yarn, but in dark-purple color;

Straight and circular knitting needles 2;

Crochet hook 2.

Size: 4-5 yeasr.

Used Patterns

1/2/2 x 1/2/1 rib: 1/2/2 knit sts, 1/2/1 purl by turn;

Garter stitch: all knit sts;

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;

Relief pattern: due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows and yarn overs as purls.

Stitches control: stockinette stitch: 23 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

20 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back/Front

Cast on 160 sts with dark-purple yarn and straight knitting needles and make 2 rows of stockinette stitch. Make all the sts in the next row in the following way: *knit2tog, yarn over*, then, 2 rows of stockinette stitch. After that, make 11 cm of relief pattern due to the scheme. Change to light-purple yarn and decrease the sts in the next row. For this, knit every 2^nd and 3^rd sts together. Knit the next 11 cm with garter stitch, then, make decreases in the same way. After that, make 2 cm of 1 x 1 rib. Decrease 20 sts in the next row and continue work with stockinette stitch. At 39 cm from the beginning of work, bind off 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, 1 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from both sides. At 45 cm height, finish your work. Leave the sts open.

Then, knit front and back together. Transfer the sts of front to the circular knitting needles, cast on 36 sts for the sleeve, transfer the sts of back and cast on 36 sts for the second sleeve. Knit 4 cm of 2 x 2 rib around with dark-purple yarn. Then, in the paths of purls, make purl2tog. After that, make 2 cm of 2 x 1 rib. Bind off the sts.

Assembly

Make side seams. Fasten the neck-hole and arm-holes with 2 rows of single crochets with dark-purple yarn by means of crochet hook.
