Instructions
Afghan
This afghan consists of 60 separate elements: make relief squares with double-pointed knitting needles from central point around.
Start each square with the ring of 8 chain sts, made by means of the crochet hook: make a ring of yarn, insert the crochet hook in it, draw the yarn = 1 st, draw the next st through the loop on the crochet hook – first st. Repeat these actions 8 times, so you should get 8 sts.
Then, divide the sts on 4 knitting needles (2 sts on each knitting needle), turn to the circle knitting. Make 23 rows around with relief pattern.
Bind off the sts: transfer yarn before work, transfer the 1st st of the first knitting needle to the 4th knitting needle, draw the yarn behind work, return the st to the 1st knitting needle, turn your work and bind off all the sts from the wrong-side as knit sts.
Assembly
Sewalltheelementstogether. At first, connect the stripes of 6 square motifs. You should get 10 stripes. Then, sew the stripes in one-piece work.
Make 30 tassels 12 cm long. Each strick consists of 12 threads. Attach the tassels along the long sides of your afghan.
