​Fancy Red Cardigan

You’ll need:

400g of orange yarn (100% cotton; 180m/100g);

Odds of any fancy yarn;

Knitting needles 2 and 5;

Crochet hook 4.

Size: S-M.

Used Patterns

Pattern 1: 1^st row (WS): purl;

2^nd row: 1 selvage st, *knit2tog, yarn over*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage st;

3^rd and 5^th rows: purl;

4^th row: 1 selvage st, * yarn over, broaching*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage st.

Repeat 2^nd-5^th rows.

Pattern 2: 1^st row: 1 selvage st, * 3 knit sts, 1 yarn over, knit3tog, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to *, 3 knit sts, 1 selvage st;

2^nd row: purl.

Repeat 1^st-2^nd rows.

Stitches control: pattern 1: 12 sts x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Pattern 2: 18 sts x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 112 sts and work with pattern 1. For narrowing, decrease 10 x 1 st from both sides in every 2^nd row. In 79 rows from the beginning, work with pattern 2. Make 12 rows of garter stitch, then, work with pattern 2 to the end. AT the same time in 91 rows from the beginning of work, bind off 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st from both sides in every 2^nd row for arm-holes. In 34 rows from the beginning of decreases, bind off the central 20 sts and finish both sides separately, bind off 3 x 3 sts from both sides in every 2^nd row. In 46 rows from the beginning of decreases, bind off 21 sts of shoulder for arm-hole from both sides.

Left Front

Cast on 56 sts with knitting needles 5 and make yarn and make as ½ of back. At the same time with the beginning of decreases, bind off 3 x 3 sts and 5 x 2 sts in every 2^nd row from the left side with pattern 1. In 46 rows from the beginning of decrease, bind off 21 sts of shoulder for arm-hole.

Right Front

Make in symmetry to left front.

Sleeves

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 56 sts along arm-hole with knitting needles 5 and main yarn and make 20 rows with pattern 1, then, change to knitting needles 2 and make 12 rows of garter stitch. Bind off all sts.

Assembly

Make side and sleeve seams. Fasten neck-hole, edges of front and bottom of jacket with 10 rows of single crochets with fancy yarn. Make 5 threads of 2 m long from fancy yarn, draw them through your work in the area of garter stitch.
