You'll need:

90g of 100% acryl yarn (200m/50g);
Crochet hooks 3 and 3,5;
Needle;
Scissors.

Size

Chest measurements: 63 cm (for a girl of 7 years old) + 5 cm = 68 cm.

Stitches control:

12 rows = 11,6 cm;
23 sts = 13,5 cm.

Instructions

Make a chain of 116 chain sts with crochet hook 3.

Crochet to top around, but with turning 29 rows = 28 cm.

Divide your work into 4 parts: = 116/4 = 29 sts. This is the quantity of sts in each part of bodice.

Bodice consists of 10 rows = 10 cm. Make decreases in each row after 1st crochet 01 crochet = 3 chain sts increase) and befor last double crochet.

1st row: 3 chain sts, 2 double crochets with one top, 23 double crochets, 2 double crochets with one top, 1 double crochet (27);

2nd row: 3 chain sts, 3 double crochets with one top, 19 double crochets, 3 double crochets with one top, 1 double crochet (23);

3rd row: 3 chain sts, 2 double crochets with one top, 11 double crochets, 2 double crochets with one top, 1 double crochet (21);

4th row: 3 chain sts, 3 double crochets with one top, 13 double crochets, 3 double crochets with one top, 1 double crochet (17);

5th row: 3 chain sts, 2 double crochets with one top, 11 double crochets, 2 double crochets with one top, 1 double crochet (15);

6th row: 3 chain sts, 3 double crochets with one top, 7 double crochets, 3 double crochets with one top, 1 double crochet (11);

7th row: 3 chain sts, 2 double crochets with one top, 5 double crochets, 2 double crochets with one top, 1 double crochet (9);

8th row: 3 chain sts, 3 double crochets with one top, 1 double crochets, 3 double crochets with one top, 1 double crochet (5);

9th row: 3 chain sts, 3 double crochets with one top, 1 double crochet (3);

10th row: 2 chain sts, 2 double crochets with one top (1).

Make elastic cord from 25 slipped sts on the 1st and 3rd parts of bodice. This will be your straps.

Fasten your top with "shrimp stitch".

Would you, by any chance, have one skein of «cloud nine» #161104 Bernat Baby Blanket, made exclusively for JoAnn's tucked away somewhere in your warehouse… There's another number on the wrapper (#04749) that may help… I have scoured both JoAnns in my area without success, but thought you maybe would have one skein lying around without a home… I need just enough to complete my beautiful Afghan… Thank you, Sherry
