You’ll need:

400 (450) 500g of tender pink yarn (88% cotton, 12% polyamide; 140m/50g);

Knitting needles 4;

Crochet hook 3,5.

Size: S (M) L.

Used Patterns

Peacock pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 19 (20) 21 + 0 (1) 2 + 2 selvage sts = work due to the scheme 1, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS row sts and yarn overs as purls. For size S, start with 1 selvage st, repeat pattern A, finish with 1 selvage st; for size M start with 1 selvage st, repeat pattern B, finish with st before arrow and 1 selvage st; for size L start with 1 selvage st, repeat pattern C, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1st-4th rows.

Wrong-side pattern: in RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts.

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls.

Pattern of rose-knots: the quantity of sts is multiple 4 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme 2, on which both RS and WS rows are stated. Repeat the pattern between selvage sts. Repeat 1st-4th rows.

Stitches control: peacock pattern: 22,5 sts x 26,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Pattern of rose-knots: 25 sts x 24,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 135 (143) 151 sts and make 1 WS row of knit sts. Continue work with peacock pattern = 7 sts + 0 (1) 2 final sts + 2 selvage sts. For decreasing width, make 6 (7) 8 sts of wrong-side pattern inside every “fold” of every 20th row and 5 x purl2tpg  = 101 (109) 117 sts. In 42,5 cm = 112 rows from the set-up row, make 1 cm = 2 rows of stockinette stitch, increase 13 sts in the 1st row = 114 (122) 130 sts. Continue work with rose-knots pattern. In 5 cm = 12 rows from pattern change, bind off 1 x 12 sts from both sides for arm-holes = 90 (98) 106 sts. In 22 cm = 54 rows (23,5 cm = 58 rows) 25 cm = 62 rows from patterns change, bind off all sts, the central 56 sts form neck-hole, outer 17 (21) 25 sts – shoulders.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole, in 16,5 cm = 40 rows (18 cm = 44 rows) 19,5 cm = 48 rows from patterns change, bind off the central 40 sts and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 2 x 4 sts in every 2nd row. Bind off the rest 17 (21) 25 sts at the height of back.

Sleeves

Cast on 58 (62) 66 sts for each sleeve and make 1 WS row of knit sts. Continue work with rose-knots pattern. At the same time, increase 10 x 1 st in every 8th row, 4 x 1 st in every 6th row (4 x 1 st in every 8th row and 12 x 1 st in every 6th row) 2 x 1 st in every 4th row and 16 x 1 st in every 6th row due to the pattern = 86 (94) 102 sts. In 47,5 cm = 116 rows from the set-up row, bind off all sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Fasten neck-hole with 1 circle row of single crochets and “crab stitch”. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
