​Pink Knit Jacket

You’ll need:

500 (550)g of Gedifra For You yarn (100% merino wool; 125m/50g) in pink color (1654);

Knitting needles 4 and 4,5;

Circular knitting needles 4.

Size: M (XL).

Used Patterns

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;

Wrong-side pattern: in RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts;

Rib: 3 rows of wrong-side pattern, 2 rows of stockinette stitch by turn;

Main pattern: 1^st-4^th rows: stockinette stitch;

5^th and 6^th rows: 2 sts of stockinette stitch, 4 sts of wrong-side pattern. Repeat 1^st-6^th rows.

Fancy pattern: due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows due to the pattern, yarn overs as purls. Repeat 1^st-16^th rows.

Stitches control: 20 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 92 (104) sts with knitting needles 4 and make 1 WS row of purls and continue with the main pattern. Start the 5^th RS row with 1 selvage st, 2 purls, then, alternate 2 knit sts, 4 purls. Increase 3 x 1 st in every 14^th row from both sides = 98 (110) sts. At 21 cm height, bind off 1 x 5 sts, 2 x 2 sts, 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from both sides for arm-holes = 76 (88) sts. At 40 (42) cm height, bind off 3 x 5 sts and 1 x 6 sts (1 x 6 sts and 3 x 7 sts) in every 2^nd row for shoulder line. At the same time with the 1^st decrease for shoulder, bind off the central 18 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. Bind off 2 x 4 sts in every 2^nd row from neck-hole side. Total height is 43 (45) cm.

Left Front

Cast in 46 (52) sts with knitting needles 4, make 1 WS row of purls and continue with the main pattern. Start the 5^th RS row in the same way, as back, finish with 2 knit sts, 4 purls, 1 selvage st. Make arm-hole and shoulder in the same way, as for back. At the same time, at 37 (39) cm height, transfer 8 sts to the auxiliary needle for neck-hole, then, bind off 3 sts, 2 sts, 4 x 1 st in every 2^nd row.

Right Front

Make in symmetry to the left, start the 5^th row with 1 selvage st and 4 purls.

Sleeves

Cast on 58 (64) sts with knitting needles 4, make 1 WS row of purls and 28 rows of rib to 10 cm height. Continue work with the main pattern in the following way: 1 selvage st, 1 knit st, alternate 4 purls, 4 kni sts, finish the row in symmetry. At 33 cm height, after 64 rows of the main pattern and 10 rows of rib, increase 49 (43) sts in the next row = 99 sts. Continue work with fancy pattern and knitting needles 4,5 in the following way: the first 6 sts due to the scheme, pattern repeat of 29 sts x 3 times, the last 6 sts of the scheme. At 48 cm height, bind off 5 sts, 2 sts, 5 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from both sides and 2 x 1 st, 2 x 2 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 4 sts, 5 sts in every 2^nd row. At 64 cm height, bind off the rest 31 sts.

Assembly

Make all the seams and sew up the sleeves in the arm-holes. For collar, lift 8 sts from every knitting needle of back and 44 sts along neck-hole = 60 sts. Continue work with the main pattern and transfer sts to the auxiliary needle at 10 cm height. Then, make placket in the following way around: lift 94 (98) sts along the left front, 44 (50) sts along the bottom of every front, 90 (102) sts along the bottom of back and 94 (98) sts along the free edge of right front.
